yeah so I just installed a firewall today :s and apparently someone is trying to do a "DOS MSDTC attempt" all day long, and there's also a port scan going on I guess domokun I'm not that good at this stuff surprised is there anything I can do about this?

Those are helpful responses...

Nothing much you can do. Ban their IPs and go on with your life. Unless you want to report thm to their ISPs. I did that once. Never got a response.

Change your IP address. If they are attacking you, then they have your IP address. Simply change it, or have your internet company change it for you. If the attacks persist then it is someone you know trying to do it.
