Apparently the only way to prevent virus infections from usb flash drives is to disable the autorun feature. But I do not know how why disabling the feature would work.

Because it prevents the virus from executing when you plug it in is my best guess.

It does not necessarily need to be mine. That could happen to any computer.

But to answer your question, worst case scenario it is possible.

I had this happen once to me good thing is the AV picked it up and then i scanned the drive with more then one program.the one bug was the only thing on the drive.Just be careful.
