If you can settle with 5x zoom, I recommend
this camera. A Canon Powershot. It's less than $75 yet has great performance. You'll get HD video when you want it as well.
If you want full HD videos (though it looks like you're only looking to take pictures so probably not), then I recommend upgrading to
this camera. Also a Canon Powershot. $150.
I know earlier in this thread you were told that Canon isn't great at low prices, but for personal use these are pretty good.
