I went through the virus thread on here and I guess my computer isn't infected with anything...Nothing was picked up.

The rest of my computer seems to be working normally, just not Firefox. I'll list the problems:

-Firefox always uses 50% cpu all of a sudden, no matter how many tabs I have open, it never used to.

-YouTube videos studder like hell now even though the video is fully loaded

-I can't minimize or close out of Firefox to get to the desktop, I have to use task manager to kill it

-Most times when I right click, the menu is blank. Same if I try clicking the "file" "edit" "history" ect. buttons on Firefox.

-Moving windows in Firefox is laggy like hell too...

-Typing sometimes lags (never used to)

Uninstall Mircrosoft .Net Framwork Assistant (It's just a security hole for Firefox) and Personas (3.6 has this built in) also you might want to consider a better AV than AVG such as MSE or Avast. Also do a reinstall of Firefox over your existing install (or an uninstall & reinstall, your choice)

I uninstalled Firefox then used Internet Explorer to redownload it. After installing Firefox it still works like assss crying

For now I'm going to try using Google Chrome but I really want to continue using Firefox with no problems. scream
Does Firefox's safe-mode give you any problems?

CPU usage from Firefox is under 15% now that I disabled every add-on except:

Java(TM) Platform SE 6
Quicktime Plug-in 7.6.5
Shockwave Flash

I don't really know what the other 10 addons were for, or which one(s) were crippling Firefox. I'm also not sure if it's safe to keep them all disabled... sweatdrop

I didn't like Google Chrome at all.
... is it just me, or do your responses have nothing to do with what he's posting?

First he told you to uninstall some addons, you responded saying you uninstalled firefox and are trying chrome...

Then he said to try firefox's safe mode, and you talk about CPU usage, other addons disabled, and that you didn't like chrome.

Are you even reading his posts?

I was having the same problems. I ended up having to switch to Opera. I really like it. I'd still use FireFox...if it worked. I think after many months go by I'm able to get FireFox to work again. It's weird. confused It's also still somewhat unstable.

If nothing else people are suggesting is working for you, you might have to wait for a new version to come out or go online and search for previous versions.
First off if you're concerned about CPU usage, uninstall Adobe Reader and opt for Foxit Reader instead (they do the same thing but Foxit is a lot lighter) and I've never even heard of most of the plugins that you have. Afterwards report back on how things are going

Keep these disabled (Uninstall if you want)
