I'm planning on creating an animation and I'm going to be creating it in lash mainly, but I also want to use Windows Movie Maker (2) somewhat. I tried importing a flash file into there to see if it would work, and WMM of course didn't support the file type. When I save things in flash I only have fla as the extension that I can use, but can I change it to something like avi somehow?

No, its for a simple reason... most picture formats use pixels to save date... flash uses vector points, these are both completely different and as a result its not really compatible.
