A Daunting Process

So i'm looking to upgrade my 07 tower's motherboard which is still stock. its a Asus computer and it runs intel I5 core as is. from what i have learned by asking around at computer stores, when i install the new board i need a CD key for my original windows 7 from 7 years ago. of which i'm very sure is long gone after my second move. so, three questions;
A) would i be better off letting them install the new gear and get operational?
B) which type of board should i get (my budget is no more then $250)
C) Where can i get a CD key? and would any Windows 7 Key work?

the graphics card, hard drive,and power supply are updated already.

a board for $250 in my experience i make my board the best bit of hardware on my computer,,,any way since you don't have your win disk you cant re-install it which you need to after a major hardware change

that would be illegal to find a key online and due to gaia's rules i cant discus if its possible to find a key online

hey there, to get your product key off your current pc just use the program produkey

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html

it will show you your product keys for the software currently installed and it can save it in .txt format to be printed out at a later stage.
