I have the same issue with the people speaking the different languages,
but most of my friends speak Canto and I only know phrases in Mandarin. xD
Which is partly why I want and wish to learn Chinese!

Mom and dad are Chinese born, but dad was half Viet & raised there.
Dad taught Mom Viet and mom knows a handful of dialects!
I'm just wondering how she remembers all these words. o - o

Dang haha! We are very similar in that way XD I wish I was multilingual as opposed to bilingual rolleyes And yeah I have no idea how my mom does it. My dad is starting to get rusty in a few languages but my mom is still amazing. I don't know how she does it because its not like she has a ton of people to practice on with certain dialects especially.
