i keep having a message about my email

I logged into my email and checked if gaiaonline had sent said message and nothing
i log in once more and the message says it again that my email isn't responding ?
what do i do now so it stops saying that? I also tried changing my email and it won't accept my current password. and the password is correct or else i wouldn't be able to log in at all...
so i don't know what to do, or if it will stop my account from working or what?
