- If you get black listed your pet will still grow but you will be forbidden to post here! And Forbidden on EVER receiving another pet from this store!
- Cheating of any kind, in sales/events/games, etc. will result in an *immediate* graylisting.
- Listen to the staff, they were hired for a reason. If you argue with a staff member and are out of line, you'll be warned and if it continues can result in gray or blacklisting.


FAQ

1. How do I get one?
Lots of ways: flat sales, raffles, auctions, games, contests, customs...

2. Do I have to roleplay?
RP is not required to own or grow any of the currently available species. It is however required for breeding and there will be other perks in the future for active roleplayers. Also some rp required species/races are planned for the future.

3. Can I get a cosplay?
Cosplays are currently reserved for events. If you absolutely must have one send a pm to Kyolis Exiles about a possible bribe, keep in mind you'd have to convince the owners as well as bribe a colorist able to do the edits.

Welcome to Kyolis a world loosely linked to our own. This world is the home of the mystical races that once lived side by side with humans on Earth. When the human race grew less and less accepting of the old magic the Mystics and human wizards chose to leave for a new world.

The first to leave and the founders of Kyolis were the Dragons, soon followed by the Gryphons, Unicorns and Elves. The human wizards were the last to join them.

Kyolis consists mostly of islands with one main continent. Because of the nature of the world, humans and elves were at a distinct disadvantage when it came to travel. As the last arrivals they were pretty much left with the islands, the dragons and gryphons having claimed the mainland and larger islands for their own.

So together combining magic with the specialized breeding programs of the Elves, new species were developed. This was all well and good. No one had a problem with giving wings to horses or to the silver tigers that were the prefered mode of land transportation. It was when the first riding griffons made their appearance that the problems began. It was fine messing with normal creatures, but these were a variation on a fellow Mystic...

Such research was soon baned by joint Council, though the breeding of riding griffons was allowed to continue, being enough removed from their inspiration for the Gryphons to live with.

With three creatures for their transportation needs the experiments were halted, for the most part. But some enjoyed the work too much to give it up and thus continued. They created creatures of higher intelligence, with empathic and even telepathic abilities. They of course were discovered, acctually betrayed by one of their own creations, the fox-like kyolites who had developed into a race in their own right.

With their creations they were bannished to the most isolated of the islands limited in contact to the occassional supply run. They live in harmony on their islands with their creations, and away from the influences of the Council experimentation continues.

~~~~~~~~~~ A New Community ~~~~~~~~~~~~


A new settlement among the Exile Isles has been founded by the drakis Kayee with her swirrel Blur. The thus far unnamed community is unique in that they accept outsiders, chief among them visitors from the mainland realm of Gaia.

It has been a year since the initial settlement and Kayee feels it's time to formalize things with a name and a full village to expand for more settlers. Helping this along is the arrival of Trsiel a Champion gr'wolf fresh from his Quest.

So you've decided to join the Exiled? Curious what awaits you? As a newcomer you're slowly introduced to the unique creatures only found on these islands.

The Gr'wolf

The size of a large timber wolf the gr'wolves have the body of a wolf, the head of a bird of prey and a pair of stunted wings. A blend of gryphons and wolves they can come in any color but the natural tones of canines are the most common. Bred to be hunting companions they are empathic enough to bond with their chosen companions and communicate their feelings and needs. Recent experimentation has been undertaken to add true telepathic communication to the bond, results are varied.

Baby
Pups are born in liters of 2-5 and stay with their mother's for a month before going to the nursery where the pups are cared for by nurses both humanoid and gr'wolf. It is at the nursery that they'll meet and choose their bondmates.
Your newly bonded pup is still very young and in need of a great deal of care and attention. They enjoy playing with other pups their own age as well as their bondmates.

Youth
The gr'wolf youth is going through its exploring mischievious stage, comparable to school age human children through teen years. Gr'wolves take about a year from this point to reach full adult size and status. During these formative years bond and gr'wolf learn to work together and find their place within the comminity.

Adult
Congratulations your gr'wolf is now a full grown adult ready to talk his/her place. By this time strong emotional ties between gr'wolf and bondmate bring comminication to near telepathic status.
Adult gr'wolves will usually set about finding a mate at 2-3 years of age though some wait longer.

Champion/Priestess(rp required stage)
When an adult gr'wolf stands out among the rest in strength, wisdome, and/or other talents they sometimes gain the attention of the everwatchful Unicorns. Such ones are invited to take part in a quest to the right to become a Champion(male) or Priestess(female). Those that are successful return in a new form, larger than the average adults and granted the ability to fly rather than just glide. Most communities have at least one Champion and one Priestess. Often if they don't have a mate prior to their quests Champion and Priestess will become a mated pair.
In addition to the gift of flight some are given full telepathic abilities and a connection to earth magic.

Swirrels

Swirrels are light elementals that take the forms of squirrels or swirls of light. Playful and inquisitive as terran squirrels the swirrel makes a wonderful friend. Originally from the world Seeral they've followed Tygress to Kyolis and many are happy to choose partners among the Exiles. Intelligent and fully telepathic swirrels are always eager for conversation and can often talk up a storm.

We're hoping to hold fs's of 4 or more critters once every month or two. We usually do flaffles though some colorists may choose other options for their own sales.

Auctions

When a member of the staff comes up with something special likely it'll appear as an auction.

Starting bid is 12k the price of an edited gr'wolf or swirrel. Bid increments and AB's decided by the colorist.

Raffles

Raffles will occur periodically but mostly during events. Tickets will typically be 100g each but it may vary by event.

Games/Giveaways

Occur at random when staff members are feeling generous wink

Custom Slots are opened monthly as the colorists choose. See their threads in the Customs Subforum for further information.

Semi-Custom choose 2-3 colors, the rest up to the colorist

Growing Semi-custom: 20k
random edit of colorist's choice, if available: +5k

complex coloring*: +5-10k
basic edits (piece of jewelry, ear changes etc) +10k

Gr'Wolves

Gr'wolves are able to fully communicate with and understand other gr'wolves and swirrels.

They are limited in communication with their human partners to varying degrees of empathy and telepathy.

Empathy = emotions and images only
Telepathy = words.

Telepathic abilities are a new development and not all gr'wolves are capable of it and none of them will be fluent. Think a child just starting to talk as a guideline.

Swirrels

Swirrels are mischievious little rascals with highly developed telepathic skills. In other words they can talk up a storm directly to your mind if they so choose.

They are creatures of light and can shift between swirl and squirrel form at will. However many prefer one form over the other which would make it more difficult for them to shift.
