    Alyssa yawned, today was a fairly boring day. Going through the same routine day after day got tiring fairly quickly. Get up, dress then go to work at the bakery down the street.

    Now, Alyssa was an avid baker. She loves to bake things of all size and shapes, but she felt there was no fun anymore. It used to be magic, watching flour turn to dough turn to delicious edible goods at her hands, but her job has turned it into a repetitive chore.

    Strolling along home, a worn pamphlet caught her eye. She went and picked it up, to find an advertisement about a bakery book shop in the woods. Alyssa thought this quite strange, but went anyway to see if the books contained any new interesting recipes.

    Finally arriving at the store, she thought it looked a slight simplistic. It was a simple wooden hut, with a hooded shopkeeper behind the counter.

    “H-Hello? Are you the owner of a bakery book store?” inquired Alyssa

    “Welcome! Welcome! Yes I am!” greeted a cheery voice.

    Alyssa walked closer and saw the shopkeeper looked quite young. They had short seaweed green hair, bright blue eyes and pointy looking ears.

    “Do you have any interesting books on-“

    “Of course! Of course! I think you’ll find this book quite interesting! Take a look!” chattered the shopkeeper.

    Alyssa opened the book to the contents and saw some very peculiarly named foods. //Ovenkits? Eared muffins? These sounded quite strange//

    “ah…Are you sure…?” Upon looking up, she found the shopkeeper has disappeared. Alyssa glanced around uneasily before taking the book, hesitantly, and walked home.

    Once she arrived home, Alyssa decided to try one of the recipes. She first decided to bake three, they didn’t sound very edible, but when she pulled the tray out of the oven, delicious aromas drifted through the air.

    “Oh! These will be delicious!” exclaimed Alyssa

    She glanced at the cook book once again to discover one last step, written in bright bold lettering.


    “DO NOT EAT. WAIT A WEEK."


    Slightly put off by the instruction, she follows it anyway. If it fails, she could just bake more, right?

    That one week was full of struggle, those cookies looked so delectable! She had decided to give two to her friends, so they may suffer wait with Alyssa.

    One week has passed, and Alyssa couldn’t wait to see what the wait was for. She walked into the kitchen and looked at the cookie jar where she had kept the treat. What a surprise it gave her when she saw a little furred creature sitting in the cookie jar instead!

    Quickly taking the poor, cute thing out, she phoned her friends to discover the same fate happened upon their cookies too! Further experimenting with the cookbook, she discovered the cookies were not regular, and would later ‘evolve’ into lovable creatures.

    After a quick meeting with her friends, they decided it would be a very interesting and amusing career if they were to bake these lovely creatures for a living. And so the ‘Fresh from the Oven’ was born.

    First Stage: What you're basically looking at for your first stage is a cookie. But alas, the cookie is far too pretty to eat, although it does smell wonderfully delicious. You find yourself in a situation, while a battle rages between stomach and mind alike. The stomach telling you to eat the cookie, and the shop keepers telling you strictly to NOT eat the cookie. Also, the box is strictly for breeding purposes. The box will be dropped off once all baked good stages for that breeding are done and then the box will disappear, revealing each one for that breeding.
    -- Pastries should 'evolve' about a week after they are created. The more you RP, the less time it will take. Stage 1

    Second Stage: Yes! After all that struggling to find something else to eat, after all the pine cones you munched on to subdue your hunger, the cookie has changed! You knew it was best to listen to the shop keepers. You now have yourself a cute little pet, that smells like cookie dough. At this stage you must watch yourself around them, you, as the main parent, are their biggest influence. They also need plenty of care! The newborn stage is strictly for breedings.
    -- The second stage should last for a week or two, on average. This may vary depending on how swamped the colorist is, but we will try to keep consistent with our work. Cat Dog Bear Bunny

    Third Stage: Aww, shucks! Your cute little pet seems to be all grown up, or so you think. It is an adult now, however you notice that it still seems very dependent on you. Unlike most adult animals, it doesn't seem like it's ready to leave it's nest (or, rather, cookie bowl). You wonder why it could be like this, perhaps it's just how the pet is?
    -- The adult stage will last for a very long time. A very, very long time. The next stage is very rare, and can only be acquired through mass amounts of RP, or a very big bribe. Cat Dog Bear Bunny

    Fourth Stage: Oh... my... Heavens! Look at your darling baby! Isn't it just simply stunning?! It's got features of the creature it once was, ears and tail included, but my! It's got two legs, two arms, well... It's... it's nearly human!
    -- Congratulations! You've done a lot of work (or paid a lot of gold) and that hard work (or hard earned cash) has paid off! Your darling little pet is now a full-fledged anthro! Anthro's cannot breed. At least, not until I can get some other anthro growth stages commissioned, anyway.

    There are currently four species that we offer to you. We're still working hard on monitoring them. They each seem to have different behavioral patterns. We're doing all we can to quickly gather data from our research, to offer you the best information we possibly can. Please be patient with us! We're bakers, not scientists.

    Feline type
  • General Behavior: Demand attention when they want it, shun attention when they don't want it. Can sometimes be playful - results of playing with them vary. They are more calm, and like to lounge. They go crazy for baked goods.
    Canine type
  • General Behavior: Want attention 24/7, though they do not always demand it. They seem to be happy whenever you want to give them attention. They are extremely playful, and tend to chase after things that run from them. Overly loving and affectionate - do not open your mouth when they are giving you kisses unless you want a surprise french kiss.
    Rabbit type
  • General Behavior: Timid and shy, run from almost everything. Affectionately nibble at your toes and finger tips. They like to be held some of the time, and will give you a gentle warning kick if they don't want attention. Do not try to be overly playful with them. Their heart rate will go up, and you may give them a heart attack.
    Bear type
  • General Behavior: They like to eat, preferably sweet things such as cookies. They get impatient when waiting for a meal, and will eat straight from the bowl without giving you time to bake it. They enjoy meats, but do not seem to have the urge to eat their other bakery friends. They are playful, but beware. They play rough. They seem to protect the rabbit species from the canine and feline species, which is unusual.

~*Flatsale Post here*~

This post is for finding homes for some goodies that we have no idea what to do with. The price to become the caregiver to one of these little ones is 7k ((7,000 gold, or, 5k if an adult stage pet is up for sale)). Pets will not grow to anthro stage unless one of 3 options is completed:: 1. Massive roleplay. 2. Pay an extra 20k ((20,000 gold)) so that you don't have to roleplay but can still get the anthro stage. 3. Autobuy an auction. No other method of gaining the anthro stages will be given out at this time. Perhaps far in the future, but at the moment, no. Still interested? Simply fill out the form at the bottom of this post, post it in the shop thread, and send the proper gold amount to the colorist hosting the sale ((Colorist name will be listed next to each image.)).

Flatsale Rules::

1. Wait until the colorist hosting the flatsale posts "GO!" in big, bold, green letters.
2. Fill out the entire form and post it in the thread.
3. You may buy a pet for someone else, but one form per post, per person. So, if you want one for yourself, you'll make one post with the form for your own, then, if you decide to buy for someone else, make a second post with the form for the other person in that post.
4. Send trades to the colorist hosting the sale immediately after posting your form. These flatsales are speed based, so, it's first come, first served. No exceptions.
5. You will not lose your pet if you don't stick around and roleplay. You just won't get the anthro stage unless you had tossed in an extra 20k to bribe for the anthro stage. The normal flatsale price is 7k per pet. Adult stage pet price is 5k per pet.
6. Do not say you are buying a pet, then turn around and change your mind and cancel everything. It annoys us very much when people do that.

Unlimited Set

What does it mean if a set is labeled as Unlimited? Why, that means there is an abundant supply of these poor creatures that need homes! They'll generally stay in circulation for about a month or two. They are always available, even if there are no pets up for normal flatsale! This means that you no longer have to wait for a flatsale to be set up before purchasing one! Isn't that neat? They are priced exactly as a normal flatsale is, and, as always, Anthro stage is optional and will cost more to obtain it. However, the Anthro stages for these little darlings might come with a special edit, unique to that set! To order, just fill out the flatsale form above, but where it asks for the Number, just put the name of the current set, and which species and gender you want it to be. ^_^

All customs take place in the proper subforum of the Guild. Each colorist is allowed to set their own prices, so I don't want to see or hear of any complaining, ne? If you don't like one colorists prices, go with a different colorist. Simple as that.

    Once again, we are putting all our effort into researching the positive and negative sides to each species when in mating season. This will include changes in their behavior, along with how often they have mating seasons, and in what month they seem most active.

    Feline type
  • Positive // Negative
    They will give you a decent sized litter, generally of three. They take care of their offspring on their own, without any guidance. // They tend to get overprotective and moody, and just a tad bit violent.
  • Favored mating months
    January - March.
    Canine type
  • Positive // Negative
    They will also give you a decent sized litter, generally of four. They take care of their offspring on their own, and will allow you to handle their young. // The mothers can go into a heightened state of worry, and may cause her to get vicious.
  • Favored mating months
    April - June.
    Rabbit type
  • Positive // Negative
    They will give you a litter of five or more. They can take care of their offspring on their own. // They will not care for their offspring if you have handled them too much.
  • Favored mating months
    July - September
    Bear type
  • Positive // Negative
    They will give you a small litter, generally one or two cubs. They take care of their own offspring, and they do a very fine job of it. // They get extremely aggressive. They do not like you to touch their offspring, and probably will not allow it unless they have an extremely close and trusting bond with you. Even so, they will not tolerate anyone else being near their young.
  • Favored mating months
    October - December.

    All breeding threads are in the Guild.
    Lowest price is 10k total. Each colorist can set their own price range up however they want, as long as it is not lower than 10k total for breedings.
