We've begun to create the main thread. The majority of the guild has also been set up!

General Rules ►
xx→ Everyone deserves to be treated with respect.
Even if you don't like someone, even if you disagree with their opinions, or even if you have some history that you all need to sort out- be civil. Don't make someone feel uncomfortable, harass them, insult them, or otherwise treat them badly. Bullying in any form will not be tolerated here.


xx→ Our staff members are able to act on their own convictions.
This means that the colorists reserve the right to refuse any project that they feel personally convicted against. Some of the staff will be more open to some things than others, please don't take personal offense. We will not force someone to use their artistic abilities to do something that makes them uncomfortable. This is supposed to be a happy place for all!


xx→ Do not alter, trace, edit onto, or 'heavily reference' from the artwork.
If we find any offenders of this rule they will be both blacklisted from the shop itself and reported to the gaia mods as art thieves. This is a serious offense against the original artist, the owners, and the shop itself and it will not be handled lightly.


xx→ Keep it clean.
Please keep swearing to a minimum. Please do not discuss the details of your bedroom activities. Please keep your political and hot-button opinions to yourself. We want everyone to be comfortable here!


xx→ Do not beg for a pet.
This means guilt-trips, subtle or none too subtle hints, and outright bellyaching is not allowed.


Role Playing Rules ►

xx→ Do not godmode.
This means your character should not be reading minds. You should not be imposing actions on someone else without their permission.

xx→ Character death happens- on the terms of the owner.
If you wish to kill off a character, that is your choice. However, you cannot impose death on another person's character for any reason.

xx→ In-Character actions have consequences.
While we are allowing characters to be protected against forced mortality, for now, don't push your luck. If your character pushes another too far, breaks the rules of their culture, etc. they can be punished. If there is a line that needs to be drawn, feel free to ask a staff member.

xx→ Stay within the confines of the setting.
There is crude technology but no one will be whipping out a cell phone.

General FAQ
xxx◘ Q || Are cosplays allowed?
xxx○ A || Yes... to an extent. Edits are going to be more toned down than before. We're going to keep it to what the animals can make themselves. Cosplays also cannot retain the abilities, powers, and history of their base. And as a side note- cosplays have to be commercial characters like Superman or Batman, or original characters that -you- created. If we find that you have taken the original character of someone else, including individuals with webcomics, you could get into hot water.


xxx◘ Q || What kind of edits are allowed?
xxx○ A || We'll have more details down near the customs, but the long and short of it is this: think the dark ages. There is some technology but the apex species are the Wolves. We will allow things like scarves, shawls, cloaks, and pelts. There will be crude armor, baskets, satchels, etc. Things like cell phones, technological enhancements, and light sabers aren't in the scope of possibility. We're also going to have a loose standard for genetics. We don't want Wolves running around with their guts hanging out, trees growing out of their faces, wings or multiple limbs.


xxx◘ Q || What will happen if I have a pet that gets life mated to someone's Wolf and things go sour?
xxx○ A || The spirit of the lifemate will be torn away from their bonded but there will be a period of healing that will need to take place before they can successfully bind themselves to another. In OOC terms, we don't want this abused. It should be something that happens in dire situations. If your friend leaves or things go sour between the two of you- that's fine, but if it's a clever way of getting flings out... well let's just not do that. We don't want to make things too complicated.

Stages

[Beyond the Sight]

◘ Breedings are restricted to one adult ♀ and one adult ♂ only.

◘ Breeding between blood relations is restricted.

◘ A couple must wait for all offspring to reach adulthood before they can breed again.

◘ Litter sizes and genders are determined by a dice roll. Litter sizes are between 2-4 default.

◘ Couples that roleplay and meet the RP requirements are eligible for two extra pups.

◘ Colorists may choose to open custom-in offspring but they will cost as much as a standard custom and the offspring must resemble their parents or direct relations.

◘ Wolves are unlimited in how many breedings they my take.

◘ Each owner can keep one default baby per litter. The rest must be given away. How this is done is up to the owners but the offspring cannot be sold or traded. If you have no idea how to give the remaining babies away, contact the shop and we can arrange for a shop-run event.

◘ Breedings cost 50k total. You can have one person pay it all or split the payment. So long as we get the full 50k, we don't care.

xx• You will be PMed with your custom, rather than quoted. Keep an eye out!

Locations

The Everwind Basin
East of the snow-peaked mountains, the rainwaters erode away the rock and drain down the Everwind Basin, nourishing the soil with essential nutrients. Here the sparse mountain vegetation eventually give way to a lusher landscape of evergreen trees. Tall, hundred-year-old pines and conifers tower over the undergrowth and shrubbery. Small mammals such as squirrels, rats and minks scurry amongst the twisting twigs and branches, wary of snowy owls and strong ravens. Occasionally the deer herds retreat into the protection of the trees, to strip the pines and bark when the foliage of the grasslands have withered in the winter.


The Mothtear Meadow
Bordered by forests, the Mothtear Meadow is a vast plateau which traps water like a large dish. In spring it is lush and vibrant, full of fields of green grasses and wildflowers, attracting hordes of insects and birds to its promising bounty. The herds graze here often, birthing their fawns in the nearby forests and escorting them to the herds when they have found the strength to run. The mild gradient of the plateau gives way to a steeper bowl near its center where the Rivenmere Lake lies.

The Rivenmere Lake
Situated in the middle of the Mothtear Meadow, the Rivenmere Lake is present all year round. All water from the mountains, basins and meadows pool and collect in this lake, where there is a rich community of freshwater insects, fish, birds, frogs and lizards. Of worthy note is the Starflow river which flows from the north-west Unity Mountains and feeds the lake; and the Moonmire Stream, a trickle of water which snakes over the edge of the plateau. The lake is known to rise and flood a portion of the nearby meadows when there are unusually heavy rains, in combination with the spring snow melts.

The Fairy Gully
South of the Meadow, a gargantuan crack seems to have splintered the very earth itself. Eroded by ancient rivers and waterfalls, the plateau drops away to steep sandy cliffs. It is now fed by a weak Stream, which trickles and snakes through the pebbly sediments. Only tough plants grow in this area as the soil is often too sandy and thick with silt. Lizards and snakes are plentiful, often basking on the rocks in the morning and hiding between piles of boulders by night. At times, landslides and rockfalls expose strange jet-black bones: femurs as large as a bear and claws the size of antlers!

The Unity Mountains
To the north-west, the earth recedes and gives way to towering rocks. Rising over the land, the snow-capped Unity mountain range snakes its way across the western landscape, providing a myriad of crevices and caverns that could provide refuge or trap the unsuspecting. The frigid winds have chiseled the rocks into sharply-defined ledges and cliffs surrounded by boulders and gravel at their bases. Mountain goats and sheep scale these heights with experience, their hooves providing some comfort against the harsh terrain as they nibble the dry and sparse grasses. Vultures circle regularly, looking for poor souls that have plummeted to their deaths. Surviving these mountains is a testament of strength and wisdom for any wolf.
