the book is about an unpopular girl and a popular boy who breaks his leg/ankle (i can't remember which) and he is no longer part of the "popular crowd" so she is put in charge of helping him around school and to and from home carrying his books,

About how long ago did you read it? Would you say it's a children's book, YA, or adult? Are there any other plot points you can remember?
