The universe is made up of many worlds, planets, and life. There isn't just one galaxy, but hundreds. Some worlds know they aren't alone, and that there are many dimensions out there. There are also those who are oblivious of that fact mainly because they don't have the ability to comprehend the truth. It would be labeled as an impossible fairy tale. If that's what they truly wish for, then their wishes must be obeyed. That is the law of the universe.

Elvetta is one of the oldest dimensions ever conjured, and they are the guardians of the universe who are split into three branches: caretaker, watcher, and the brigade. Elvettians are born with essence and are able to travel through dimensions. They are the only ones able to do that through genetics because in their land, they hold the largest crystal in history. These crystals are called relia and they are the one thing that creates a world. They're the core, the heart, and they come in all shapes and sizes. It was the guardian's job to protect these crystals no matter what.

Crystals can never be destroyed, but that didn't mean no harm can ever become it. Sometimes they grow weak, and that causes a dimension to collapse. Each crystal is different and each hold various powers in their essence. Some will give magic to inhabitants by voice while others will give magic by birth. In order to keep the crystals safe, Elvettian's create a pact with world leaders. But because some worlds don't know the nature of dimensions, they must be left alone and the crystal protected from afar. No matter how broken the relia's physical form, its existence will never disappear so the guardian's needn't worry about someone finding the crystal and forging it into jewelry. The worst someone could do is steal the relias from its dimension, but no one was foolish enough to become enemies with the guardians.

That's what everyone thought till it finally happened from right under their noses. The guardians were pulled from their stations while selected caretakers chased the criminal down. Elvettian's were recommended to refrain from travelling while the brigade was told to not leave the land. People were growing anxious because the overseer, the highest guardian, was keeping things secret. No one liked waiting for answers, but they respected the man so they had no choice but to settle for rumors and be patient.

After one week passed, the overseer announced everyone to gather at the assembly hall because everything they wanted to know will be said there. But how will the public react to what he had to say? What will the guardians do when they find out someone is stealing the relias? How will they act knowing that the fate of the universe is in their hands?

▌READ THIS FIRST : here's a message for you. You will be playing a guardian and guardians are all dimension travelers. Elvettians are the only people born with that ability, and it's a rare ability because it's so strong and requires a specific essence/magic to perform. There are people who can become guardians that are not Elvettians, but they still must be able to travel even if it's a different form of travelling since magic in worlds differ from one another--but the chance of that is slim so I'll only allow one to be non-Elvettian and three to be fragments who are also non-Elvettian but instead have shards of the relia in their chest (basically, they don't have powers to time travel). Also the 2nd and 3rd rate in the reserves are based on power level. If you're not Elvettian, then just delete that part. These information can be read more in the World section. There are roles to choose from in the guardian character post. Take note: the roles don't affect the personality that great. You can still be lazy and skilled, or passionate and clumsy. As a guardian you either become a caretaker or are part of the brigade since watchers stay at Elvetta. I'm expecting no more than half of these characters to be caretakers and yes, they're more elite than brigades therefore your senpais <3

▌CHARACTERS : I only want anime pics. You can also have multiple characters but you must have a guardian! And you're not limited to just Elvettians. The bad guys are called Faewind and you can make one too, but note that they are not main characters so there will be no continuous interactions using them. We're also going to be dimension travelling, so you can make secondary characters that belong in that world (or visiting it). Take note that your characters don't always have to be in scene of the rp. They come, they go, but they at least have to impact the guardian's reason for being in their world. [ For example, Guardian 1 went to Earth to chase the bad guy 2. Character 3 met with the 2 and was told that the guardian was an evil person, therefore 3 wanted to defend 2 from 1. Little did 1 know...3 was actually a famous magician bounty hunter from xxxx world. ] make sense? Also, I don't want super OP guardians They're strong, but who says people aren't clumsy idiots?

▌RESERVES + PROFILES : just title the reserve with the character role (guardian/faewind/extra). For the profiles just title with the character name. I don't have bios in the skeleton mainly because learning about a character through the IC is much more interesting. It gives them a little mystery too which is always a bonus <3

▌ACTIVENESS : I know school is going on because hell, I'm in it too. All I'm asking is a post a week within your turn and if you can't then just say so :3 I don't want to wait two weeks though because that just kills the rp. A short post is fine so don't be scared about the length! If you can't make a post, then you can tell us yourself if you want us to auto your char somewhere or wait. Guardians

✧ a majority of the guardians are Elvettians mainly because they can travel, but there are some from different races who have that ability. Traveling through dimensions is no easy feat, so it's rare to find anyone besides Elvettians
✧ for non-Elvettian guardians who cannot travel, Elvettians use a piece of their relia crystal to form a round gem the size of a marble and infuses it into the person's chest, just above the heart. The essence never disappears so it never needs to be recharged.
✧ as for communications, Elvettians (only Elvettians) are allowed to speak to each other via telepathy but only those who are nearby can hear you. Range of hearing depends entirely on individual skill. If you're in one place and the other is in a different dimension, then the only way to communicate is through the watchers because they have the ability to talk to people in great distances.
✧ rank:

○ overseer: manages the organization and is the highest respected of all the land--also the strongest
○ caretaker: are assigned crystals to guard and spend a majority of their time in other dimensions. They are the strongest members of the guardians so their job is mainly focused on maintaining universal balance. Within the caretakers there are three roles who work as admirals

- diamond crest: top best
- gold crest: second
- silver crest: third

○ watcher: makes sure dimension boundaries are normal and travelers aren't breaking the law. They are able to project images of dimensions using magic to surveillance the land, and it's not easy to do. They need a high amount of essence and concentration, which is why they stay in Elvetta to be close to the crystal. This is the intelligence department of the guardians, information gatherers. They also keep in touch with world leaders who know about dimensions and guardians.
○ brigade: the largest unit who enforce the law and makes sure travelers are safe from other inhabitants, or even the other way around. There's a quest board brigades have that allows them to do individual or group missions depending on the task citizens put up.

Verstella "Eternal passage"

✧ this is the inner corridor of your mind/soul/body. It's like you're floating in the galaxy with a bunch of shining stars.
✧ Elvettian's are able to come here through the "gate", which is the magic circle that they open beneath beneath their feet. Their bodies disappear and they're in the state of travelling. In Verstella, there are a bunch of stars that could be translated as worlds. Each one are connected by thin, glowing threads, and it's instinctive that you know which place you need to go to because they have a sense of familiarity to them.
✧ it's believed when you speak telepathically you're breaching the boarder of Verstella. Finding certain people to talk to uses the same instinctual feeling as finding a world to go to when you pass the gate.

Essence

✧ the magical aura in which relias are made of
✧ Elvettians are the only one who are born with essence because of the size of their crystal
✧ essence makes people able to dimension travel
✧ everyone has different amounts of essence, so the more you have the stronger you are

○ 1st rate : have a vast amount of essence and are able to use that to influence their surroundings by changing how something looks, or taking control of them (controlling people are forbidden). They're more intune with the physics of the universe and are like mini gods depending on individual power. Only the overseer and crests are in this level
○ 2nd rate : are able to open portals to dimensions that are both visual and physical. Visually, they can only watch and hear what's happening, and no one can see the portal on their side. Physically, the portal is smaller and objects may pass through, but living things will die
○ 3rd rate : can wield harudos and speak telepathically

✧ Elvettian's magic aren't offensive which is why they resort to hirudos


Hirudo weapons

✧ enchanted weapons used to work with essence (Elvettians only)
✧ has runes and will glow blue when powered
✧ the weapon is as good as the users ability to control their essence

○ elemental: pyro/ice/lightning/wind. This class is very difficult to control
○ brutal: maxes essence power to make attacks faster and stronger, but it'll tire your body out after some time since you'll become more durable to attacks.
○ vitality: conserves essence and makes weapons lighter, swifter, and more controlled. You are also more agile when using this weapon.

○ Although prone to violence, extortion, etc., the Black Market acts as a neutral ground where individuals from the Upper and Lower District are free to enter and go as they please.
○ The Black Market acts as a border between the two Districts, and although they do not regulate who enters, the Upper Class heavily reinforces re-entry into the Upper District with the help of the Black Market cartel

✧ The Black Market has some influence over the Upper District
✧ Rumors have spread that recently someone has taken over the Cartel, but since nothing seems to have changed these rumors are often disregarded or ignored
✧ Although there is a minimal law enforcement presence on Cornarogue, wanted posters are still issued by the Upper District. However, the Black Market Cartel have no need for the rewards due to their economic success and the Lower District have no desire to affiliate with the Upper class in any way.

They're nearly unstoppable in this state. It doesn't last long, but it's not like they need time to finish their opponent off. After the last stand wears off, most will either faint or are too weak to walk let alone stand.

✧ The Lotanin acts as the king, he is the most powerful Dremora and is the protector of the Dragons.
✧ The speaker is the one who has the ability to speak with the dragons. Dremora can understand what a dragon says but they cannot speak back. A speaker is born with their power and it cannot be taught, only one speaker is allowed to be alive at a time, when one dies then a new one will be born. Often times, the speakers are born blind.


Religion: Drocanus

✧ Drocanus revolves entirely around dragons. Whatever the dragons demand they get. The Dremora believe that when they obey the dragons they will be bestowed with special powers. In this case, magic. It is believed from the very beginning of their history that the dragons were the one who granted the ability to use blood magic.

○ When one cannot use their magic then they are a nonbeliever and must be sacrificed.
○ Anyone who comes to the planet is urged to convert to Drocanus, those who refuse must die.

✧ Rituals and Conversion
✧ A ritual happens everyday. A random citizen must come to The Pit and offer their blood to the High Dragon. This is usually done by slitting the wrist. If the High Dragon finds the ritual to be favourable then the citizen is given the opportunity to drink from a cup filled with the blood of the Melvix Dragon, which will grant them stronger magic.
✧ When one is converted a sex ritual is done in front of the High Dragon in The Pit with the High Priestess. The converter must lay with the High Priestess who will make a cut on the converter’s chest to draw blood. She will then cut herself to draw blood and mix the two. Towards the end of the conversion the converter must drink the Melvix Dragon’s blood. The conversion completes when the Melvix Dragon’s blood has been drunk and the High Priestess becomes one with the new follower.


Blood Magic

✧ Dremora can use blood magic. It is mostly used in rituals but can also be used for offence and defence. The only way to use the magic in anyway is to cut themselves to draw out the blood and then manipulate it.

○ Marriage is preformed by joining two Dremora’s blood together.
○ Create barriers with their blood.
○ Control other’s blood. This can only happen if the Dremora has drunk the blood of the one they control. The Lotanin has control over the majority of the population.

✧ Turnavia is a world of memory, a holding place for every memory ever made. Important memories are filed by the keepers, conglomerations of memory that have taken on a humanoid form to reflect that which they hold on to, or "file" away, for lack of a better term. "Unimportant" memories, such as the general day to day goings-on a person experiences, are left unaccounted for. The dregs of these memories take the form of a silvery-white mist that flows all throughout Turnavia, and most of it through Mirus. While normally harmless, these dregs react to the memories of visitors, creating false realities in order to both help visitors understand and navigate the world, as well as lure them away from their own realities with the promise of false, but more appealing, ones.
✧ Only two places exist in Turnavia, Mirus, the vastness of the world full of the dregs that react to memories, and the Deep Void, an abyss in which the inhabitants' memories are slowly suppressed and obliterated.
✧ The castle of Hourjis is the only safe haven within the Deep Void. Here memories are preserved for much longer, though they still suffer from degeneration the longer an individual stays.


The Keepers of Memory

✧ Three individuals tasked with keeping the realm of memories whole and untouched. They are the only natural inhabitants of Turnavia, being conglomerations born of all the memories they keep. They are eternal beings without pasts of their own.


Keepers' Function

✧ The keepers shoulders the burden of being a sentient archive of memories. It is their duty to hold onto all memories, returning them to their makers when they are needed.

○ All memories, as they are created, arrive in the Room of Records within Hourjis, a space to which the keepers go several times a day to assimilate the new memories.
○ Memories that are let go by their makers no longer have a need to be kept, and so are released. Released memories no longer under the protection of the keeper degenerate into lost memories.
○ Lost Memories degenerate into the dregs that fill Mirus. These memories are incomplete, missing crucial factors, and the memories a person can consciously recall, but are often hazy at best.

✧ Memories do not arrive in one piece. Often that is the reason a smell or specific sight will trigger a reconstruction of memory within a person. It is the keepers' job to reconstruct memories based on information previously obtained. False memories are those that were incorrectly reconstructed.
✧ It is unknown what would happen should the keeper of Memories be slain, but it is thought to be the beginning of a multi-dimensional catastrophe.


The Lost and the Lostlings

✧ Visitors to Turnavia end up there not by chance, but because their hearts, scarred by their memories, are in turmoil. The greater the turmoil, and the more prevalent the harmful memories at the time of world-jumping, the greater the likelihood of travelers getting pulled into Turnavia.

○ Those visitors who are ensnared by their memories or false realities become the unnatural inhabitants of Turnavia. They become Lostlings, with the suffix of -lings because they are only newly lost and still able to be salvaged. They need only accept that their memories are just that, or that their reality is a false one, and they will return to normal. But should a person completely reject reality in vfavor of memory, or should the physical body die whilst one is a Lostling, the person then becomes one of the Lost.
○ Lost are forever attached to their memories and false realities. While initially they were capable of differentiating between past and present, reality and fantasy, they have since lost the ability. They become as memories themselves--as phantoms unable to interact with anything but their memories. Tragically, few, if any of them, realize or mind that fact. One who is Lost can never be found again.

✧ Feurspire: A tower feared by most inhabitants, said to be the home of a madman. Rumors are that anyone who enters will come out as ashes in the wind...

✧ A small, round world (size around the size of our moon), the land continent (there is only one with a mega ocean surrounding it) is mostly tropical, humid rainforest. The sky islands (there are multiple, mostly above the land and a rare few above the sea) are much colder.
✧ Legend says that the Terrae and the Caelum used to be one people, until one day the ground shook and pieces of the world broke off and jumped into the sky where they remained. Those who were on those chunks of land learned how to fly and their skin colored changed to handle the colder weather, while those below remained the same. This legend is backed by the multiple lakes that exist on the land with no rivers leading into them or out of them, most islands float over these lakes.
✧ Since before anyone can remember the Caelum and the Terrae have always fought and bickered with each other, drastically different in temperament, the Terrae are fun-loving and impulsive while the Caelum are well-mannered and cautious, as far as the Caelum are concerned the Terrae are ill-mannered savages, while the Terrae think that the Caelum need to loosen up and not get their feathers all ruffled.
✧There are five Terraen tribes: the Oeme, the Elddani, the Migeym, the Hylehi and the Nihari. They all are relatively similar and get along, but all agree that the most influential and powerful tribe is the Nihari tribe. The other tribes tend to view the Nihari as their overall ruler, but this has never been made official. The Elddani are the second largest tribe and the most aggressive. They hate the Nihari's desire for peace and would rather go to war with the Caelum.
✧Elvettians only allow one Terrae and one Caelum to be Guardians to avoid conflict. Usually these two Guardians have a blood relationship with the leaders or nobles of their respective race, but that is not always the case.
✧Terraens have special tattoos indicating status. For example, warriors have tattoos on their face and spiritual leaders have tattoos over their hearts. The Guardian gets a special tattoo that moves from their shoulder to across their stomach and down their hip. When you receive your mark you are considered an adult.
✧For the Caelum, their wings are status symbols. If you have white wings you're royalty. Black wings are high middle class, brown wings are average in wealth and appearance, gray wings are the working poor and rarely, if ever, get a chance to work in the palace.
