Space has always been man kinds true sought out goal. When it had finally been achieved? We abandoned Earth... It had been completely stripped of all life, resources, and morality. It had become a wasteland. Many were left behind to die on the planet- and with enough time, everyone did... Not even one survivor. Earth was officially classified as a dead planet. Colonists had spread out across the stars, and eventually, the United Galactic Colony (U.G.C) established it's self as the supreme, dominant military force throughout the stars. The basic concept of it? The Elite and rich stay that way... Those below them, stay below. The original goal of the U.G.C, was to allow everyone to feel a purpose. Planets were not easy to colonize, and due to this, it didn't take much for a colonization project to fall short. While resources are no longer a concern, due to mankind's ability to simply travel to another planet, and begin harvesting said planets resources, it didn't change the fact that waste was not being sought after again. With the establishment of the U.G.C., did so come military enforcement. Using their over powering might, they forced just short of half the stars human colonies into submission. They now serve under the U.G.C., and there is little that can be done to stop them. There have been few who have tried to do so, waging wars- but in the end, the U.G.C. proved far to strong, both in number, and in force. Despite this though, it has not halted the life of space pirates. Many despise the U.G.C., for their complete lack of understanding for basic human rights- and while some might see them as doing what needs to be done- others do not... Those others, are Space Pirates.

However, there is one out there, who stands high above the others. A man who's said to be the very reincarnate of Davy Jhones himself. He's said to have lived for three hundred years- however no true documentation has lasted long enough, to support this theory. Some believe he is an alien, simply masking himself as a human. Despite this though, the true reason he is so feared, and well known- is due to his ship, The "Black Nova". It's a ship said to shroud it's self in black smoke, as well it's said to repair it's self- even in combat. No one know's the ship's make, but it's considered equal size to a U.G.C. dreadnought, the second biggest war class ship in the U.G.C., arsenal. Only two other known Space Pirates possess such ships.

This is a story, about a man who's been left behind by the very flow of time, and his journey, for freedom. His crew asks "what is it he continues to sail for", to which he responds "an end...". Despite this though, he has been requested of for wars against the U.G.C., to which he has never responded to. He is considered an incredibly selfish man, who uses his crew for his own gains, and is thought of as a coward by other Space Pirates, as he's never been seen near the U.G.C.'s capital, Terastala.

Will you believe the rumors about this man? Or will you risk it all on the chance he may very well take you on the greatest adventure of your life... What will you chose?

Rules

1:
Follow the Gaia ToS

2:
I (Ichigo The Bunny) Am the god of this rp, meaning I can change any of the rules whenever if I deem it necessary.

3:
Respect others in the rp. Your character might be a d**k, but that doesn't mean you have to be as well!
"Adventure is the true life of a real pirate"
4:
No Cybing! Romance is fine and dandy, but I want to see some realistic relationships here people... If a >>>>> REAL!!!! <<<<< Relationship is actually formed, then do a damn time skip when it's taken under the sheets ya dirty pervs!

5:
No god modding unless given permission by someone to do so.

6:
We play the enemies of the crew for each other! Meaning when we get into our adventuring, and start mini plots etc. We will all make characters of a rival crew, or organization etc. and play them ourselves. Minor god mods are allowed on crew member parts, to speed things up, but don't be a mini god, and make it stupidly easy for your character. At least let the fight drag out and make it look like your character is in a real battle, as opposed to a kitty pillow fight.

7:
Highlight just above of Rule four to find out what the PM title must be to send a profile in to me Ichigo The Bunny

8:
This is a semi-lit. based rp, meaning I want to see at least a paragraph a post. It's ok to make short posts from time to time- I can understand that, it happens, but NEVER should I ever, see a one liner!

9:
Please post all OOC in the OOC thread! any OOC not used in a post will be deleted without warning.

10:
There are currently, only humans that are known of. So that means only human crew members until further notice.

11:
This role play uses something called a posting order. It's so that I can keep up with the rp, along with everyone else, and prevents Ping-ponging. This means that once I post, it would go the person 2, person 3, person 4, then me again, until the next person joined, and then it would go up to person 5, and repeat again. If you post out of order, your post will be deleted, and you'll be given a warning.

12:
Inactivity will result in the instant death of your character. I'm sorry, but if you leave without warning, then you hold up the RP. 3 days is the max I'm willing to wait before kicking. If you post a heads up in the OOC before going away, then you will be fine. If your internet drops without warning, and you can't get it back, then I'm afraid your character will still be killed off after 3 days if you cannot go to a library and let us know. Reason or not, you can only hold the RP up for so long.
If you are going away, make sure your character is somewhere they won't hold the rp up (like somewhere below deck on the ship sick or something of that nature).

13:
If for some reason your character is unconscious, or happens to be in a situation that's gonna leave you with little to nothing to post with, then you can just put [Pass] with no brackets or posting format. This will show that you're still keeping up with events taking place in the RP.

14:
You must quote the person who posts after you in the posting order. If you're confused then just ask myself, or anyone who you're supposed to quote either via. a PM if you'd rather others not know, or ask in the OOC.

15:
There will be three males and three females for the primary roles. Whether you want to make your character a feminine male, or a masculine female, is entirely up to you.

16:
HAVE FUN!

Information

The "Black Nova"

Alt Pic

User Image

The Black Nova, is the ship belonging to Captain Rodgers. Few have attempted to mutiny the ship from him- and even once, did they succeed (technically). However, upon doing so, they locked Rodgers up, sealing him away in the ship's depths. When they tried to pilot the ship- nothing happened... They tried to get the information out of him, to which he only responded "This is a ship of the damned... It will only obey it's Crew" which came out short as "None of you are part of this crew any longer". No one's sure what happened after that, as all sixty five crew members bodies were dumped on the nearest planet- which just so happened to be a colonized one.

The Ship is the size of a U.G.C. Dreadnought, which is the second war class sized ship known to man. Despite this though, it has the fire power of Fleet Frigate- which is the U.G.C.'s largest war class Ship. With twelve anti material laser cannons that can spin around the ship's hull, and thirty more smaller personal fighter craft guns mounter around the hull, the ship is not recommended for to go up against alone. Despite it's fire power, that is not the most feared thing on the ship. It's the speed. This ship is famous for it's loot and leave tactic- as well for the fact that they don't leave survivors- however they only loot U.G.C. ships. Many question this, as they think it's just what they run into, while others believe the crew to be a batch of heroes fighting for the people.

The ship's biggest weapon, is it's own hull. The ship is comprised of some kind of unknown material, It's incredibly hard, to the point where anti material laser cannon fire, barely manages to punch a hole in it- and even then, when it does, thick black smoke seems to leak from it, before repairing it's self. Most don't believe this, as there's never been any survivors to make a record of this.

The Crew

User Image

There have been many to serve under Captain Rodgers. The Black Nova is a ship that needs a crew, and it is one that will always have one. There are always those out there seeking to join up. The Captains methods of recruitment? Well while he doesn't exceed more then sixty five crew members at a time, he will replace those that die under his command. Many have come to think of the Captain as cold due to this, however most see it as what it really is. The Captain needs a crew, and if someone dies, someone dies... They don't call him Davey Jhones Reincarnate for nothing... Despite this though, there are five primary roles in the crew, the others are just there for physical labor, and raids. The five positions are as follow: Navigator, Head Mechanic, Biologist, Combat Specialist, Medical Specialist. Without these five, the ship simply wouldn't function properly. When the crew goes into battle for a raid, or for other purposes, very rarely is the Captain seen. Some doubt his combat prowess, while others believe it's the Captains own belief in them. Despite this, the crew holds high respect for their Captain. He's been known to save crew mates in dire situations, and turn the tide of a raid when needed. Most of the crew, has even taken it as a challenge, to not require his presence in battle, as to prove their worth.

The Crew utilizes something called a hard suit in combat. It's a thick heavily plated suit that's capable of being used in low gravity with magnetic boots, and each one has it's own personal air supply, meaning it can be utilized even in space. The material they're made up of, seem to be the same as the ship it's self- however they don't repair themselves. Most gun fire barely scratches them- however heavy ballistics are still a threat. Despite this, very few crew members are ever lost during combat. This is the primary reason the crew is so feared, even without the presence of their Captain. Weapon wise, the crew tends to stay away from heavy ballistics during raids, as they tend to cause damage to the goods they're trying to take. For the most part, they use high impact rounds with machine guns, and some have even taken to using heavy melee weapons, such as heavy axes, and other such weapons. Smaller weapons, such as the sword the Captain uses, don't get used by the crew, as they're to light to pierce the U.G.C.'s military standard armor. Those who do manage to take down soldier with heavy melee weapons, are often seen as the elite to the crew, as it takes "balls" to charge an enemy line firing on you, even with a hard suit... The Captain is the only one of the crew however, that's been able to enter a raid without one, and come out alive.

Crew Position Information

Captain: The Captain is the man in charge of the ship. His authority is absolute. Truth be told, the Captain doesn't actually do much, and the crew has come to question this constantly- however, none have actually brought it up directly to him. He doesn't show up much in combat, he rarely steers the ship, and he often just leaves command to his five more important positions. Despite this though, everyone on the ship still chooses to follow him. The Five crew members will report to the Captain (Ichigo The Bunny) to discuss certain things about travelling, and other such important topics, when it's necessary.

Navigator: The Navigator will communicate with the Captain (Ichigo The Bunny) out of the role play, on what planets we're going to. This is a position that will require heavy creativity, as you will need to create a planet with information on it- however it needs to be bare bones information, such as; Life span of the planet, is it colonized, if so, how long has it been colonized, weather anomalies. Things about the planet it's self. Life on the planet however, will be left to the Biologist. For the most part, the navigator will be controlling the ship, unless the Captain himself takes over. The Navigator is about an average fighter in the form of combat. Not quite as high as the Combat Specialist, but not as low as the Medical Specialist. They sit nicely in between.

Head Mechanic: The Head Mechanic will communicate with the Captain (Ichigo The Bunny) when certain situations pop up- typically during combat when the ship sustains such heavy damage, that it's self repairs just won't cut it. This won't happen to much in the beginning- however if ideas are thought up for the ship, or other situations that could happen, you are encouraged to discuss them with the Captain (Ichigo The Bunny) Out side of the role play. The Head Mechanic is actually surprisingly strong in the form of combat. They've spent more time then any crew member around the hard suits, so they know the ins and outs of them. They've even made special add ons to their own hard suit. The Head Mechanic tends to be a heavy hitter, with a thicker/heavier hard suit, often thought of as the "tank" of combat, usually charging the front lines right there beside the Combat Specialist. The primary role of the Head Mechanic in combat however, is to cover the Medical Specialist, or other crew members, who are attempting to perform special tasks.

Biologist: The Biologist is responsible for creating up the lift on planets we travel to. Are there freaky giant bug things the size of a ship? Or maybe there's a deadly plant life there that's never been discovered before, and our crew is the unlucky batch of SOD's that get to discover it first- or maybe, we'll discover a lost ship from #### years ago. This position gets a lot more say in creativity and direction for the role play, primarily because, the Biologist doesn't get a lot of combat or action time. This is a scientific/creativity position, so it could be thought of as being the dungeon master with another dungeon master (Ichigo The Bunny). While the other roles will be able to throw on a hard suit, the biologist will be the only one unable to enter combat (unless given special permission, which won't be very often). While the Biologist won't be confined to the ship (unless you make the character like that), as previously stated, they won't be there for the majority of combat. This is an incredibly creative position, and it will require samples of things you've come up with, whether it be a forum rp, or guild rp. It doesn't have to be original, but I'd like to see some level of creativity in your samples. If you have none however, and you still want to apply for the position, you'll need to write up at least two examples of life on two different planets. I don't need information about the planets themselves, just whats on them. This position will also be challenging, as you will need to work with the Captain (Ichigo The Bunny), on forming your idea around what the navigator has come up with, for the planet. Please think heavily before deciding on whether or not to apply for this role.

Combat Specialist: The Combat Specialist will be responsible for controlling the flow of battle (for the most part). They will communicate with the Captain (Ichigo The Bunny) on what kind of enemies will be present during raids, and how combat in general will go. Exploration defense and the such, will also fall to the Combat Specialist. The Combat Specialist is in short, the god of battle for the crew. They can fight fairly well even without a hard suit, and when they're in one, the combat Specialists combat prowess is said to come close to even the Captains. For the most part, the Combat Specialist will also communicate with the Captain (Ichigo The Bunny), how the battles will go. Will we enter the fight not aware that it was a trap, will the Captain need to enter the battle, will it be an easy smooth raid, will we discover SOMEONE valuable on the raided ship? The Combat Specialist will also need to communicate with the Medical Specialist, on whether or not a crew member gets injured, and how it went about happening/etc. As well, the combat specialist is responsible for over looking new to join members of the crew, should someone die, or vanish from the Role Play. The only profile they don't have to help over look, is the Biologists. The reason for this, is that the Combat Specialist will need to know how those they'll be fighting with, work. If there's something wrong with them, then they have the right to voice their opinion to the Captain (Ichigo The Bunny) who will show the profiles to the Combat Specialist before approving them. This position requires an Active Role Player, as crew members could leave the Role Play, at any time, and new profiles could be sent in, in the same fashion. If you don't like reading profiles, then this position might not be for you.

Medical Specialist: The Medical Specialist will be responsible for injuries that take place throughout the Role Play. Whether that be communicating with the Combat Specialist, or other such things, they'll be responsible for controlling the flow "of life" through the Role play. The medical specialist will for the most part however, communicate with the Captain (Ichigo The Bunny) on whether or not diseases hit the crew, and how to save them. Will we need to travel to a specific planet for a specific plant/herb? Will we need to do this or that to prevent this and that? This is another creative position, as the diseases/out breaks/etc., will need to actually have a fair amount of detail behind them. Nothing as simple as "the flu", or things of that nature. I want creativity! What's the name of the virus, what are it's symptoms, how does it work, what lets it spread, what do we need to do to stop it, etc., etc., etc., the more thought put into it, the better. As well, ontop of all that, the Medical Specialist can usually be found close to the Combat Specialist during Raids. While they are not heavily combat oriented, they are trained for combat should the situation call for it.

Shadow King
The Immortal Captain Rodgers
Davey Jhones Reincarnate

User ImagexxxUser ImagexxxUser Image

xxxUser Image

The Black Nova. The ship known as well as the man who Captains it. A ship that's said to beckon hell it's self with it's very presence. Many call it a cursed ship- others believe it's Captain made some kind of deal with some kind of reaper- to pirates, he is the very reincarnate of Davey Jhones himself. The ship had looted a U.G.C friggate as of last week, and while supplies weren't necessarily low....... They weren't exactly nominal either- on top of that, the Captain had killed the ships medical specialist, after discovering her true purpose for being on board. The precious doctor; Rachel "Star" Leabar, had come aboard the Black Nova with the claimed hope to find true freedom. Her true intent however, was to try and discover the mysterious Captains supposed immortality. When the Captain discovered this, he did what anyone would expect a man with such a title to do... He killed her... Her body was ejected into space, as they didn't even so much as leave her corpse at a nearby planet. This was one of those things that made most of the crew fear the Captain. Most saw it as "if we slip up or slack off, he's gonna kill us". To the more Senior members of the crew, they know that this is quite the opposite. Word spread of this (somehow...), and it quickly became public that Rodgers had needlessly slaughtered an innocent woman aboard his ship. Some believed it, some didn't, but most just didn't Care. The Black Nova and her crew, were famous- often not for the best of reasons. So small details often barely caused waves throughout the media.

Rodgers... Captain of the Black Nova, well known and feared by many. Despite this, he's well known on his ship for doing little... Often just sitting in his chair which rested on the ships main deck. With large monitors giving him a "front row seat" on the view to "hell", Rodgers rarely leaves his seat. Truth be told, most often mistake him for being dead. Still... He was a Captain, whether they liked it or not... "I can't believe he killed Star..." "I know... He could have at least kept her as like... A slave doctor or something..." Two of the crew members who'd been operating some of the ships basic controls, had been mumbling, and while Rodgers could hear it- he paid it no mind... He had no time for those he had to keep his back hidden from. Still... Just because he seemed to be immune to disease (supposedly), didn't mean that the crew wasn't... Despite all of this, he just remained in his chair... Head slightly down, hair covering most of his face... "Hey, it's been awhile since he's given an order..." "Ya... Why is he our Captain again? I mean V does more then him..." "I dunno man..." The chat was obvious, and every crew member on the ship knew of this type of talk. People were quick to forget the actions of others, and Rodgers knew this all to well. The didn't change the fact that he didn't seem to waste his ever so valuable chair sitting time dealing with it. Truth be told though, they didn't really have any real heading- nor did they seem to have any real direction with what they were doing. They were all on a ship for a reason, and many who'd joined up with Rodgers and his band of missfits, thought that they'd do so, and all their problems would be solved. No one had considered that maybe, this wasn't the "dream demon" ship they had all heard of.

There was a lot about herself she really didn't tell anyone on the ship. It was none of there business. It's not like everyone was jumping to know about the life they basically walked away from. Never the less, Naomi didn't think she had thrown it away as much as placed a few things on hold back home. There was things that she needed to do. Things that couldn't be done where she was at the time. To believe now she was the first mate to the captain. So much time has gone by what did she really have to show for it. She has been running for so long with one goal in mind but now she couldn't even tell what the goal was anymore. She was fighting the idea of being what they wanted her to be. Yet, here on this ship she was forced into that would lead to death if crossed. Does this not sound like the same situation. All she wanted was to be good at what she knew she was good at. That was building things and building things to destroy other things. "I wonder how she is doing." Naomi originally planned to make a footing with the crew. Than once she became irreplaceable, well she would go pick up her sister. What better job to show how important you are than a mechanic. It surely didn't go as quickly as she had planned. The danger seemed to get worse with time. Picking up her sister only to put her in more danger wasn't part of the original plan. Still, one can always feel home sick for the ones you love. Naomi loved her little sister more than words could express. Nothing weird, they are clipped from the same strands of DNA. Just so happened that Naomi was the oldest sibling. Not that there was anything wrong with that. It just show how truly over protective she was of the girl. No one was allow to say anything about her little sister. No one could make her cry and no one would ever step on her toes. "I hope she is doing well." Now she couldn't even grip her mind around what would happen if she actually saw her sister. The girl must be extremely upset with her.

When Naomi left, she just disappeared with out any notice. If she left anything it would cause problems for her sister. In order to keep her out of trouble that Naomi was getting herself into, she would need to leave without even saying good bye. The night before she left she said words that would be nothing different than she would say to the girl on a normal base. "Kaori, you know if you ever need me, I will always be there for you." Naomi said things like this to her all the time. "Doesn't matter how far or how bad the trouble is, cause that's what big sisters do!" She meant every word of it. If there was ever any word that her little sister, Kaori needed her help, Naomi would come running. The woman would walk through flames if it kept her little sister smiling. Rolling over in her bed she glanced towards her time clock. Soon she would need to do her rounds to check the engine, amongst other things. Machines didn't keep themselves working with out a little TLC, tender love and care! With the crew as is right now, any type of blinking light would make them freak.

Did it bother her that her captain killed the Doctor so easily? Naomi wanted to say yes? Really, they had no right to complain about it being that she had dug her own hole as some would say. One couldn't help but wonder if the captain would do the same to her. He was her Captain. Naomi would like to call him a bro-tain (Bro+Captain=Brotain) but that wouldn't exactly be true. He would always be that level higher than her. In the end he would always have the last say. "What was he thinking?" It was hard to understand a man who never spoke. His body language always said 'death'. Sometimes when your around something like that so often the warning signs fade to the back of your mind. Everyone on the ship knew he could kill any one of them if he wanted. Maybe they just got to used to the idea he wouldn't. Traitor or not the woman had made memories with some of the crew members. Some crew members may never forget that.

A tiny little beep sound crept through the air growing louder with each time. This was Naomi's que to get a move on. "It was easier just being a no name." She didn't actually mean being no named, she just meant lower ranked. It wasn't long before she found herself walking down the hall towards the engine room that a newbie stopped her. Naomi didn't have time to greet all the noobies but she how ever there would be time to run into them sooner or later. Crossing over the mess deck she noticed a group watching the news. Her head shook with a roll of her eyes. Creeping over behind one of them she gripped him into a head lock. Her large gauntlet rubbing across the top of his head 'gently'. "I'm pretty sure there is important things to be done." This one was a lower mechanic. One that is suppose to be working on the basic cooling unit.

"I got frustrated."
A couple of people in the group busted into laughter. His hands struggling to push away. "Come on, we are bro's arn't we?" Naomi let him go with a grin.

"Yeah we are and I'll bro fist your face if I don't get some cool air running through this ship soon."
A sweat drop slipped down the side of his head. There was one thing that everyone knew about Naomi. She liked to punch about anything. It didn't matter what it was. It made complete since why she knocked knuckles in a form of hello or such instead of normal women. Than again, Naomi wasn't exactly lady like. The face could fool anyone, but two minutes with the woman proved other wise.

"Okay I'm goin', I'm goin'."
Not nearly fast enough but it would have to do. The man sauntered off while the others turned back to the tv. They really hadn't been watching the thing. It was just a reason to be grouped up and talk. A lot of them felt the need for the captain was dwindling. What did he do around the ship anyways? This type of feeling only comes from restlessness that was caused of the killing. Naomi hoped it would pass. There was no way in hell that she wanted to actually be captain of the ship.

A picture flashed over the tv screen catching Naomi's eye just before she would leave. Her feet paused in place. "Kaori SÅ“ur will be sentence to death in two days from today. Being that you are her parents how do you feel about this? " Naomi couldn't believe what she was seeing. There was no doubt that it was her parents. That would mean that it was her sister. " We do what is better for everyone. We are only sorry that our child had to be one of the few." One of the few is a term of those who can't make it in society. There is a lot of reasons why they can't but never the less most of these types get put down for the betterment of the whole.

"The girl's a crazy b***h anywa-"
Naomi hardly felt her body move. Seconds she had the man pinned down by the throat. Her fingers on her gauntlets tightening down as he gasped for air. Everyone jumped back worriedly. There had already been one death on the ship. The man's hands tried there best to pull the fingers back but it would be no use. "Don't be silly, we are better than friends? I'm your older sister so that means that what ever you want I'll make sure you get it!" Just an old saying she had said to her. Kaori couldn't be put to death. Naomi wouldn't allow it. Her mind cleared noticing just exactly what she had been doing. Letting the man up he skittered back defensively.

"That is my baby sister."
She spoke in a powering tone. "She's a perfect f*cking angel!" The men nodded agreeing with what ever she said. They had no idea. If they had they wouldn't have allowed the other person to say what he did. "Excuse me, I have some things to do really quick." Pointing to Cory one of her underling mechanics that at least had enough brains to be trusted in the engine room. "Can you check the engine room for me." He nodded quickly. Her hand extend a fist out to him. "Thanks, bro. I got to talk to the captain really quick." Cory shakily extended his fist to pound Naomi's. She truly was named Vicious for a reason.

"No problem Vi."
Just like that she headed towards the captain. She had to go help her sister. Second in command or not. If the captain didn't want to help her than she would do it alone. If anyone on the ship knew Naomi's thick headness, surely it would be Rodgers. If he didn't know than he really was completely blind to his crew.

"There is stories that says your first daughter just disappeared. Would you like to comment on that?"
The parents on the tv gave a few sad looks before shaking there head. "Her disappearance put our poor Kaori in this state. They where always so close and just like that she disappeared." The words echoed Naomi's mind just as she stepped out of the mess hall. She had put Kaori into this trouble. What had she done. She knew that Kaori couldn't have just done this. No she truly believed her baby sister was an angel. Naomi would make this up to her. She would set this right if it was the last thing she did, than she would gladly charge in. She would never pull a punch when her sister was involved.

tab It annoyed Althea Lieber to no end whenever a crew mate said they were headed nowhere, that the ship was careening aimlessly in space. Like that was a bad thing! No, Al knew much better than that. 'Aimless' and 'Nowhere' were words used by people who didn't understand the vastness of the universe. Right now, this very moment, if they headed a straight course in the direction that they were headed, at the speed they were at, they would land on a small marsh planet inhabited by talking Venus Fly Traps in about 40,000 years! So they were definitely headed in a direction! If they increased their speed by roughly 14 miles per hour, they'd collide with a seasonal comet, provided that the comet was traveling the same course as it was the last time it came in that direction, traveling at the same speed. So of course they weren't aimless!

tab Al sat in the control room, cross-legged on the floor, hand-drawn maps on the floor. Next to her was a tiny TV that she had been watching, curious about the current state of affairs in the area. Someone had won the lottery. There was an electrical storm in the planet to the west. Some girl was about to be sentenced to death. Al furrowed her brow. The girl had to be around her age... And she was one of the few. That was too bad. She was probably actually a really nice person. I mean, hey. Al was wanted for several counts of various degrees of theft! And she was a very nice person!

tab "Does anyone know the circumference of Earth off the top of their heads?" Al wondered out loud, glancing down at the map. Was she right in this drawing? Not a lot of people knew since it was uninhabitable nowadays. She shrugged, and folded her things back into the giant scrapbook of an Atlas she had made. Placing the heavy, cumbersome book to the side, she ran over to the view of the front. "Never mind! I'll deal with that later. Today, we're going to do something fun! I can just feel it!"

tab The crew could only nod their heads and agree. Despite her adorable demeanor, Al had an incredibly prominent position on the ship. She was small but powerful, and smart as a wick (despite the way she acted at times). She demanded respect. Al giggled in anticipation, and pressed her face up against the window, looking out into space. It was beautiful out there, and so much of it was still unexplored.

tab Althea stood for adventure. Nothing mattered more to her. If she were to die the next day, at least she could say that she died pursuing adventure. That was the entire reason for coming onto the Black Nova in the first place. Captain Rodgers was a famous man, a borderline 'tall tale come true' kind of story she'd heard from her childhood. And look at her now! Navigator! She was going to have millions of stories to tell. The captain was far more relaxed than she had thought he was going to be, though. She expected a big, booming voice, covered in scars, maybe a giant mechanical arm or something... Instead, he was a solemn man, sitting often, head bowed. Oh well! That only meant that it was up to Al to make things more interesting on board.

"Please!...Look, I didn't want it! It was just...just a d-dare from the other mates in forward batteries! W-w-we j-just figured that a-a guy like you would d-do something in his spare time that'd be...w-well, different. I-I never thought you'd be...uhh...uhm...well, that you have--"

An ugly scene unfolding near the tail end of the ship, and a shipman's speech and plea cut short by an abrupt throttling of the large clawed gauntlet around his neck. The crewman was hanging about a foot off the deck, and precariously dangling over empty space. The man responsible for this? A giant of a brute, none too pleased at whatever the crewman had discovered about the crew's biologist. With clomping, deliberate footsteps, the male made his way off the deck proper and onto the top of the engine. Only at the very edge of the metal did he seem to cease, ducking into the shielded bubble that kept the slipstream winds away that the ship's frame created.

"Knowledge you can take to your grave. There's the saying that knowledge is power....but it's also a curse. Thanks for the tip-off about your buddies in the forward batteries. I'll be sure to remind them why trying to blackmail an officer has never ended well in the past, on this ship or any other. I'd give you a decent send-off, but frankly....that curse you've got is a loose end I don't need floating around this universe. Give my regards to your dead kin that we've already killed."

With that, Vok took and maneuvered his "catch" in free hand and moved it in front of the "barrel" and lowered the crewman into the flame discharge spewing out. This wasn't a common way to end a man, but certainly an easy way to dispose of evidence. He was dead in seconds, of course, but only half of him was gone. You could call Vok paranoid, sure, but he left virtually no trace of anything or anyone that could identify with him or his past. There were exceptions, of course....but most of those that were sentient were dead. Nothing non-sentient or inanimate remained that he wasn't already conscious of and in close possession thereof. So in the art of completely disposing of evidence, he shifted his grip on the upper torso and let most of the rest of it down, holding it by a hand. Engines were certainly nifty and convenient for disposal. Once done, he tossed the hand down into it as well, and by the time it was blown clear, all that would be left were charred bones. If people traced that back to him and somehow accessed that information....well that would be a bit impressive. Even so, the male turned around and plodded back onto deck. One less annoying crewman.

On his way down, he and the crewman had overheard Althea, or "Al" as....it preferred to call itself, attempting to teach the crew about basic math or some such futile effort. These crewmen were fodder, often times dead weight meat-sacks that weren't even good for punching or stress relief. Ship of the damned, indeed. Vok despised everyone on the ship...but for different reasons. Al had her own special category....since it was she that vied with him for the captain's seemingly limited attention span. This was purely for business purposes...or at least with him it was. He hated the captain, but respected him for his capabilities. The rest of them.....that was to be seen. He'd already been warned not to repeat history, so to speak...so all he could do was tear apart and generally mutilate them in his mind while he remained outwardly stoic and silent. That was a huge advantage of the suit. No emotions got through without his express desire to do so.

Althea, as he would call her....whether or not she liked it, was just probably the most annoying creation that he could have encountered. All the traits he disliked were present. Short hair, bright and almost innocent like personality.....there were others, but those stood out. For the most part, Vok would hand off the information to Althea, at least regarding the living things on a planet, and let her present the information to the captain or their "peers" at meetings.

Bonehead. Where does he get off, trying to butter me up? "Oh it was just a joke, just a prank". I made it explicitly clear to the rotskulls that my quarters are mine, and anything in my workstation being used is used properly, or they will quickly learn to use it....or at similar speeds, why not to use it. And then he goes off ratting his band out. Ehh..at least he died quickly. Painfully, but quickly. Gotta think of something to subtly tell the rest of them off and dissuade them from trying stuff like that again. See part of me, will they? Gotta say though.....while he burned really quickly....while he was cooking it did smell fantastic. How long has it been now since last fest? Fourteen....no....shorn teeth, twenty years already?? I should write down how things are prepared in advance, just in case the fools at home have decided on discontinuing the greatest of all festivals and forgotten what glorious revelry it is. Seriously....I think even these lightweights on board would enjoy it. How could you not? All you can eat meat and spirits. Maybe some eggs too, if the season's good. Bird or cattle...hell, spitwarg jerky is good, I'd bet it tastes better with the moisture still in it. Get some sauce on that, or maybe even dry rub would be enough.....dammit, now I'm hungry.

He'd already conferred with the "child", as he could only see her as such. Humans like her often confused him. How was being small advantageous in worlds that so commonly spurned runts and forced them to work twice as hard just to break even? Of course, then there were the eggheads that didn't even make his knee and instead brought mechanical monsters to do their fighting for them. He enjoyed crushing their creation, and then picking them up like an adult to a child's stuffed toy. That usually stifled their loud mouths. Three female officers though.....that was something. And he didn't get along too well with the "combat specialist" that shared his gender. Truthfully, the sooner he found what he was after and grew strong enough, the sooner he could get Rodgers to....well, that was too far ahead of the plan. And not like he could have any of them snooping about. Mind in the present, he told himself, and he made his way through the ship's interiors towards the battery rat nests, as they were fond of calling their operating area/residences. He was sure that his chief rival would show soon though. She had a habit of somehow knowing what he was up to, even when he was sure he was alone or "taking care of business".

Sadly enough Naomi had just up and disappeared but it wasn't with no hint. Her parents should have known something was wrong. Normal caring parents would have seen signs. Yet, maybe she should be counting her blessings. If they would have noticed, they might have turned her in. Her parents never really noticed things that would be important. Sometimes she wondered if they where just going through motions when it came to their daughters. Maybe that is why Naomi felt more protective of Kaori. She wanted Kaori to have a better something, anything and everything really. It drove her mad that they would pass all the blame on to her. Why did it drive her that mad? Well because deep down, Naomi agreed with them. Slamming her fist into the wall with a loud thud. The metal wall bending around her gantlet. "I should have been there." She promised Kaori that if she ever needed her that she would be there. That is what it boiled down to. Naomi just wasn't there, if she had been maybe this would have been all avoid. Recoiling her hand she moved down the hall once more. She would keep her promise, even if that meant risking her very life. Kaori wasn't going to be put to death. "Why would anyone think that way about Kaori." If she ever did anything wrong it wasn't because she wanted to. Kaori was a saint in Naomi's eyes, nothing would ever change that.

Passing by the control room she gave a small knock. Al would be working on something. The girl moved about like a lightening bug with adhd. There was nothing wrong about it. Naomi found it funny how excited she would get over the simplest of things. Right now she just needed to stop in and say a few things. "Al? I need you to do a quick map up for earth." Naomi was respected pretty much like the captain. How on earth that happened, she wouldnt' begin to be able to explain. Not that she would ever want the title, the only plus was no one really questioned her. "Our next destination is going to be a little dangerous so.." She paused for a moment. "I would think about ways to get there a bit more quietly." Turning around she chuckles. "I think your going to enjoy it,brosphine. Our destination is Tepenbala. " With that she made her way out of the control room.

Home town here she comes. Seeing it again didn't really give her any excitement. She needed to speak with the captain directly. It was still his ship to command how he wanted. Ending peoples lives how he wanted and domineering over people when ever he felt like taking the role of captain that is. Never the less it wouldn't change her route. If he didn't want to help save her sister than she would still go to help her sister. He could just drop her off. Honestly it was the least the captain could do. He wasn't exactly a bro but he could at least pay something back. Naomi carried a lot of wait for the man to be just sitting in his lazy chair. Out of everyone on the ship, he should know how thick headed Naomi was about things. Knocking lightly on the metal door before opening to face him she spoke formally.

"I have asked Althea to change course to Tepenbala."
She lowered her head while she spoke to him as if she was speaking with a king. Captain, was not a bro in her eyes. She never saw him really as a bro, because he had never been a bro. "My sister is being sentence to death and I am going to stop it." Not, I wish to stop it. No, not, I will do my best to stop it. Not even that, no she was going to stop it. Naomi gave herself no room for failure on this. "She is my younger sister, she will not die before me." She needed to make a couple more things clear to the old man. "It's a dangerous mission and I am aware of that. If you don't think you would want to risk it with moral low on the ship that is fine, but I request that you would at least take me there so I can do it myself." She awaited her answer lifting her head with a look of dedication.

OOC: Sorry, its not a great post but.. I just lost my bird last night.. I'm not in the greatest of moods...so... I pushed it out anyways...

Al was busy drawing on the window with the condensation of her breath when Naomi came in. Instantly, she turned and saluted, more out of fun than out of necessity. Though she respected Naomi a lot, almost like the captain, there was no real need for that kind of formality. Naomi was so stinking cool, and Al admired that a lot. If Al could be that cool... Wow.
"A map up of Earth? I can totally do that! Gimme like... an hour. Maybe less. Maybe fourty minutes! And thirty seconds! Aye aye, Nao--" She said excitingly, before quickly coming down to a whisper. Right. More quietly. "Aye aye, Naomi."
Tepenbala! Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! Althea could barely stop herself from jumping all around the room. It was going to be dangerous! It was going to be AWESOME! She ran over to the controls.
"Alrighty! We're headed duuueee..." She checked the compass on the dashboard of the controls. Althea kept an old Compass on her at all times-- It was so easy to use the modern navigation, and easy was BORING! "NORTHWEST!
Whatever Naomi was going to do, Althea wanted in on it. What kind of adventurer would she be if she just sat on the s**t without going headlong into danger, risking her neck for little to no reason at all? Why, no adventurer, of coarse! If an opportunity presented itself, Althea would ALWAYS be there. Because if she missed it, she would never have that opporitunity again. So breaking into a heavily guarded, never-been-infiltrated awesome a** fortress of DOOM? Count her in.

The male would leave the main crews alone. Any more than one or two deaths within a two or three week period drew too much attention and earned the captain's ire. They'd earn what was due though. Not quite to the extent that their "man" had, but a good rough housing nonetheless. Of the officers, Vok imagined that he spent the most time below decks and the belly of the ship specific. Probably for the best, since the draw of open space had him irritable and just more than a tad eager to get off ship. Too many years had he spent on this miserable pile of....whatever the captain called it. Vok wanted to call it metal, but it didn't feel metal. It didn't have its heart, the bite, or the stability of it. It just unnerved him, and perhaps a contributing factor to why the male spent all his time locked in his "hard suit"....if one could call it that anymore.

The suit itself had been so heavily customized, adorned with additional plating reminiscent of his culture's influence. One could question just where he got the metal to perform said smithing with, or the forge, for that matter. People that asked questions like that only did so once, and didn't want to talk about it. There were plenty of ugly and negative rumors floating about regarding him. The crew never addressed him by title, and only after an incident of a crewmate's flayed skin flying atop and betwixt the "spikes" above deck, never called him "Iron man" either. Instead, sir was the most common means of addressing him. Calling him by name didn't merit any immediate repercussions or negative effects, though he did tend to focus on that individual and see about that person's overall worth, both intellectually and talent wise. There was also the unspoken "duels" that occurred. People often only tried battling him once, or opted to surrender at the start. They never bothered to call him by name again, as he had taken note of. Yes, he was a warmonger. A warmonger stuck on a ship with them and no outlets for built up stress. Despite this, he contributed almost nothing to the ship's overall low morale by himself. He could get along with people, so long as they respected his space and privacy.

With the standard stomp-grating of metal on metal noise that was his trademark, the male plodded up steps. He tolerated no one to interrupt his journey. Ascending levels to the common deck where more and more of his officer "peers" could be found, Vok had missed Althea's excitement and any conversation. That wouldn't stop him from approaching and finding everything he needed from just watching. He had an inherent talent that, once he'd ceased moving, anyone that hadn't been aware of his movement up to that moment would not notice him, or intentionally ignored him. This was never more apparent than at the officer meetings. Unless of course someone thought it a good idea to challenge his ideas and facts. It usually involved the captain intervening, if he were present.

The control room was about the closest to deck that Vok got on the ship. Any further and it tended to bring his bottled frustrations to the surface. Nothing like the glimpse of freedom to get one excited, and then to realize that you'd never get off ship. Not without a haunting, anyway. Squeezing himself through the doorway, he loomed over his "partnered" officer. Between the two of them, they were expected to give the landing party a description of what was down there and what to expect. To this end, the human did a halfway decent job. Now if only he could get her to wear a helmet....or grow the hair out. The area reeked of the pink-haired rival....whatever she wanted to call herself, anyway....Naomi? Feh. A strange name.

"Althea..."

The male growled out her name, as if that were truly needed to gain his fellow officer's attention as he stood hunched over as he was want to do. Some speculated that living below decks and having to get around through smaller doorframes had caused him to adapt such a stance, or some people just assumed that was how he had developed a posture as such. Regardless, the largest officer held his gaze upon the conversely smallest officer as he took one further step inside the room and continued with his "approach".

"Where is the ship headed? This is not something the captain would have already authorized, so I can only assume that it's the doing of the pink-haired one. Logic dictates then that she is bothering the captain now about it. If we truly are going somewhere, we will need to assemble a report about the destination."

Loud thuds and crashes could be heard from the center of the ship. Two double doors stood in front of where the loud noise came from. Above the doors read the words "The Dojo" and under that read "Please remove your shoes Before entering" this all was written in kanji. As one would grow closer to the doors. You would hear soothing music playing, a few yells and screams, grunts and then crashes. Two large men then flew though the double doors out into the hallway. The loud classical music escaped the room and filled the halls. Their were several crew mates laying around a blue mat, moaning and groaning. A many holding them selves up on the metal walls of the dojo.

In the center of the large blue mat stood a stocky but slim man with snowy white spiky hair. He wore a white blindfold over his eyes and stood there with both hands behind his back. Three crew mates come charge at him at full speed. One of the right of him, another on the left and the last one attacked from behind. The man spun on his right heel to straight kick his attacker who was behind right into a wall. The ones on the right and left of him both threw a few quick jabs that the man easily dodge with much grace. It was as if he was moving to the sound of the music. One of the attackers threw a punch which he blocked with his right foot then push the fist away to back flip away from a sweep kick. The spiky haired man stood there awaiting the next attack, as the two looked at each other then at him and back at each other. The man gave the two a small grin before speaking. "Well, are you just going to stand there wide open or should I advance to you?" One of the two still standing gulped and he fell to his knees on the mat bowing down. "I-I give up Sensei Kenshin" But the other flew towards the man like a bat outta hell. He cocked back his fist to throw one hell of a haymaker but Sensei Kenshin simply side stepped out the way tripping the boy. He then took off the blindfold. "Dekimashita". Every rose to their feet and kneel before Sensei Kenshin. " You all need to learn more focus and not to underestimate your opponent. You all believe since I could not see nor use my hands that I was helpless. Had you all been more focus and not tooken the matter so lightly. You may have been able to form a plan to defeat me. Always remember strategy and skill will best strength any day. But I will say you all did well to last this long." He spoke with a stoic look and tone. "Class dismissed" A few mummbles were heard as the crew mates left the dojo.

Saito closed the doors behind them and walked back to the blue mate and took a seat right in the middle. "Nothing like a good spar before a mission. I how we're going somewhere with a challenge this time" He said to him self as he went into deep mediation state as the next track on his very old school record player played.

                        OOC: That was the worst lol Took everything I had to think up this post lol. Hopefully you all enjoyed it. And Hopefully i'll get better at this ^^;;

Rodgers could hear the foot steps approaching, but didn't seem to move in the slightest. Naomi- no surprise there... Usually when there were foot steps coming his way, rarely did they belong to anyone else. The moment she spoke... The moment she said the Capitals name... Tepenbala? The one place he himself had never attempted to venture to? The crew all looked shocked- and for good reason. Her words had even caused Rodgers head to lift just slightly enough for her to see his eye- yet he did not make eye contact... His eye was half shut, yet even the slight movement caused the crew in the area to lean back slightly. "s**t... He's gonna kill the Capt- vice Captain..." They'd mumble among themselves. He'd killed the old doctor this way too... She had finally worked up the nerve to demand something- a blood sample. She claimed he was getting sick, or that something was wrong. To the crew who knew nothing, it seemed a fair request. It seemed she was just worried about the Captain? Rodgers had killed her right then and there. Wrapping one hand around her neck, standing up, and lifting her off the ground as he didn't even give her the grace to look at her. His head still lay lazily to the side, while his hair covered his one eye. She trembled in his grip, clawing at him, anything to live... The crew watched as the life drained from her eyes... Some even went as far as to claim that Rodgers had sucked her soul out through his touch. Once the job was done... He threw her to the side, before telling one of the crew mates to eject her corpse into space... He had never explained- not to anyone... No... Rodgers had his title for a reason- at least... that's what his crew thought that day...

Rodgers gaze had actually been aimed at Naomi's foot. The more he- and the other crew members looked, the more the realized........ She was standing literally int he exact same spot as the doctor before he last moments... Rodgers thought it almost ironic... Had Naomi been some kind of agent for Tepenbala? Someone sent to drag Rodgers back to the Capital...? She claimed her sister was being sentenced to death- he'd heard of some girl set for execution on the tv the men on the deck used when they were bored... So did that mean that she hailed from Tepenbala? He was sure he'd heard rumors or something of the nature about it... His right hand twitched slightly- and that tiny movement was enough to cause one of the crewmen to snap. "DON'T KILL HER!!!" Everyone froze... Most eyes were on him now as he quickly realized what he'd done... He trembled slightly, as he slunk back into his seat. Moral was low... Naomi was certainly right about that if someone was willing to jump out like that... It seemed another mutiny would becoming his way soon if this kept up... He shut his eye slowly- before standing up. The crew's eyes widened. This was it wasn't it? This was where he'd kill Naomi now. First the doctor, and now Naomi? Did Rodgers have a hate for women? The man who'd shouted seemed to blame himself as he had both hands on the sides of his head. He kept mouthing the words "I'm sorry"...

His eye opened as he stared at Naomi. Rare eye contact- but then he actually spoke... "Do as you please..." His deep raspy voice echoing out across the awkwardly silent control deck... He turned, and started to walk slowly away. Each step left an echo. Many of the control crew were pale... They truly thought that would have been her end- and then theirs as well- the one who'd actually yelled... Well... He looked like he'd just ran a marathon while being chased by monsters... When the doors shut behind Rodgers, the entire crew let out a loud sigh of relief. "I really thought that was gonna be the end of you Captain!" One of them called out to Naomi. Some of them laughed, while others just smiled with relief. As it stood... Naomi was kind of the moral ladder right now... If Rodgers had killed her- not that he even had a reason to do so... Then he'd probably have to replace the entire crew................... Again................................ Still... Tepenbala... Walking down the halls of the ship, he'd narrow his eye. The few crew members who actually crossed paths with him, would be shocked to actually see him walking around- before changing direction all together. Moral was at an all time low... If just standing up was enough to put men on the verge of heart attacks.... Maybe an explanation was owed......- No... It would serve no purpose as it stood at this point. Moments passed, and soon, Rodgers came to find himself standing a few feet away from the entrance to where Vok was conversing with Althea. How he even know that Vok was there was a mystery- that no one was present to be curious about. If they were going to Tepenbala... Then there was something that needed to be done.......... Vok wasn't going to like it...

(( Tepenbala is actually on Mars just so everyone knows. As well, please remember to quote the person after you. ))
