Lilliana wandered about the palace for far too long, unable to find what she was looking for. The pirate was looking for a spot of rum, a bit of ale, anything she could get her hands on but it seemed it simply was not meant to be. Her buzz had completely worn off from the morning and left her feeling vulnerable, the impending feeling of having her freedom stripped form her bearing down on her. She'd never spent long periods of time on solid ground before. The longest she'd stayed was two weeks when she was fourteen, the ship having needed repairs. Her mother had just begun teaching her how to steer the ship and unfortunately, she managed to scrape the side of the ship with rocks on the very first day. Needless to say Blythe was furious but at least they were close to Valencia where they docked to see about the repairs. The whole two weeks Lily griped on and on about how the ground was too still and that she needed the ship sway to help her sleep. She was drunk most of the time and spent many days in a brothel or a bar and by time they returned to the sea, she never wanted to spend another day on land again.

Lily wrung her hands together nervously as she turned a corner, starting to feel a bit claustrophobic in the halls when she spotted the doors out to the courtyard. She'd never been so gleeful before in her life. She jumped a little in excitement before speeding out the door into the sun. She knew she couldn't run off so she settled for a walk around the palace. She couldn't deny that the palace was beautiful and she found herself admiring the architecture as she sauntered by. Her observations were halted however when she heard the sound of voices. Glancing to her side she spied women standing together, their mouths hidden behind their overly embroidered fans. Lily assumed they were there to watch the men horseback riding in the distance but she caught them looking at her. "I heard the maids gossiping. They say she's a pirate," one of them said quickly, her eyes darting from her friend to Lily and back.

"A pirate, you say? Perhaps I should hide my necklaces..." another replied half seriously, earning giggles. Years of living on a ship had trained Lily's ears to hear all over the roaring of the waves. She turned her head back to the palace and smirked. She thrived on their insults and assumptions. She was a pirate not a pansy; it was going to take more than that to piss her off. She knew that she looked different from everyone else there. Aside from not growing up and having someone tend to every one of her needs and obeying her every whim, she was bronzed from the sun. She'd spend hours in the nest with Hampton, laying back and basking in the heat. She'd always had olive skin from birth but her tan really brought it out. Women here seemed to pride themselves on how pale they could keep their skin. In all honestly it freaked Lily out.

A twisted smile broke out onto her face as she thought of a way to get some color on their faces. The wicked girl ran off towards the stables and requested a horse much to the surprise of the stable hands. Most were frozen, unsure of whether or not to comply but one finally moved when they realized that she was serious and wasn't going anywhere. A stableboy saddled up a beautiful black stallion while Lily took the time to get to know him. She rubbed his nose and scratched his ears, already liking the beast more than the people in the palace. Perhaps she'd spend time here when she wanted to get away. The boy told her the stallion's name was Arno as she easily hoisted herself up, hiking her dress up slightly to accommodate. The boy blushed terribly and Lily just laughed as she rode Arno out of the stables.

She led the horse around the palace to where she had been walking and saw that the women who'd been gossiping about her were once again watching the men ride. With the return of her smirk, she sped Arno towards them. "Good afternoon ladies!" she bellowed just as she was a few meters away. The women turned then shrieked and scrambled out of Arno's way, Lily cackling as she rode past. She wasn't going to actually hit them...probably, but she definitely did want to give them a start. Sure enough, their faces were red with both fury and anguish. Lily kept up the speed for a good distance then slowed Arno to a trot and then a walk, deciding to continue to observe the palace on horseback. Reaching up, she pushed a hand through her tresses which were now wind whipped and rode contently around the structure. At least there'd be no shortage of laughs for her.
