Rowin paused for a moment as his amber gaze lifted to Auriel as she began to speak. In contrast to his rigid and unwelcoming disposition towards Siegfried, his entirety seemed to soften as he watched the elf. The subtle hissing and crackling of the eggs frying atop the cast-iron pan in his hand was the only noise that came from his proximity before he lowered his gaze once more.

The knight of Faer walked into the room, but Rowin did not look in his direction. Instead, he still served two plates of food- intentionally excluding their newest guest. Without speaking, his words moved to Auriel’s mind alone. His presence was like a warm knock upon the door of her deepest consciousness before his voice sounded in her mind as if he were standing directly in front of her.

“This man has been nothing but trouble since we arrived in the Forest. I would suggest that we leave him behind before we travel to Rothenal..”

His gaze finally lifted as he watched Siegfried for a moment. There was nothing that would entice such a reaction from the usually unwavering former captain, but Rowin’s presence suddenly became agitated.

“I don’t like the way he looks at her… He’s getting too close… Who does he think he is?”

Though it was not Rowin’s intention, his immature jealously had reached Auriel’s consciousness as well. Perhaps this new and intimate connection with his elfin comrade had its setbacks as well. Rowin buried his aggression and brought a plate of eggs and vegetables to Auriel. Then he faced the knight and spoke with a low and sharp tone.

“Why have you not left? The mission we are grants you no benefit that is readily clear. If you are a Knight of Faer, then what business do you still have here in Emrys? You let Nadya go.. Was that your plan?”

Still silent in her own reality, the Lady of Welhon leaned her head back and looked up into the foreboding skies. The dark figure soon took shape of a imminent foe as the women were stranded with no other choice but to fight. Samantha’s eyes widened as the creature began to reveal its hideous shape. It was a dark creature that could only be described as such. Her long hair tugged behind her head from the strong winds of aviation. She tried to breath, but a panic began to settle over her chest and restrict her lungs. Her will to fight was dormant

It passed by, slashing its claws in her direction. Samantha winced and closed her eyes, but did not feel the sharp tear at her flesh. When she opened her eyes once more, she watched as both Lenneth and Fiona engaged. Both of the women were amazing and strong. A well-placed dagger was followed by a bolt of ice that assaulted their foe. Samantha drew her thin katana blade moments following the draw of Myrddin’s royal blade. Samantha’s eyes became fixed upon it. How did the Elfin Princess come to own such a relic of the Leryn house.

Perhaps too distracted, Samantha swatted at the creature much too tardy as it passed by them.

                                                “Your Highness.. That sword..”

She began to speak as the creature swept back around.

The shadowy forms were still. They moved with the eyes that beheld them, making them a floating fixture as if existing only in dark nightmare. The sharp silhouettes of face warriors created a veil within time and space that was both heavy and suffocating. Their presence was one of evil and malice. Yet they did not converge.

Ara spoke, and her voice echoed in a sudden silence. The crimson moon flickered above- teetering again on what was real and fantasy. Then, from the shadow, the Demon Lord walked into the faint light. His pale facial features were accented by the subtle glow of his serpentine eyes that at once became soft.

                                              "Ara..."

Ephraim began to run towards her now. He forced his way through to them, regarding Tathriel none as if the elfin battlemage was nonexistent. He threw his arms around Ara and held her to his purple velvet chest. White gloves clutched her shoulders and his fingers trembled. He lowered his head against her, pressing her cheek against her hair.

                                              "I thought I lost you..."

His voice cracked, and the shadow behind him began to blur. But there, he held her- vulnerable.

"Come.. You are hurt.. I will fix you.. I promise.."
Tikiya and Tyko

The group had traveled far in the first day. Night had fallen and Nadya had come to learn that the large tiger was in fact a man who had a curse placed upon him. She couldn't help but stare at him. She had learned, from his sister, that he had protected Tikiya when they were younger. It seemed the twins were human after all but currently immortal due to the curse that plagued them. Tikiya didn't go into detail and Nadya could tell it was a touchy subject so she did not press the issue.

Within the carriage, Tikiya had begun to sort through pieces of leather armor that the queen gave to Nadya. She arranged it for Nadya to understand how they were to be worn.

"It would be good to get you into different clothing. You worry that people see you as a child? We'll change that!" Tikiya said handing Nadya the traditional Rothenal scout armor. It was meant to protect the body but was light enough to move quickly in. The white haired woman closed the currents to allow Nadya privacy as she changed. The morning was arriving quickly and they would soon find themselves at Teghelm. They would reach the city by noon.

Teryn sat quietly for a short time after Tahl wandered off. Their conversation had left a lot running through her mind and she wanted to commit as much as possible to memory. The male elf had said they could help her and she trusted them to at least try. Once the three that had been left behind were with them again, she could return to Madora. There was nothing in Rothenal for her, at least not outside of hiding from Toradon.

She noticed the big man looking at her as she finally stood and turned towards the others. How long had he been doing that? "I'll have a lot less to deal with when I know the others are alright" she replied, moving to stand beside Tasha. "Kane can either fly on his own or change into something small so we really only have to worry about getting two out." Her gaze moved to the man with a bird perched on his shoulder. The animal didn't look giant and that confused her but everyone else who had come from Madora were entirely unconcerned about it.

Tahl approached the group once more after the camp was all packed up. She hoped they would not need the medics he had mentioned but she was glad there would be help. The halfblood stared back at him as he looked at her. So much for trying not to stare at her anymore. Just as it was about to get really uncomfortable, he finally turned away. Teryn continued to watch as he mounted a horse and left with the group. Once they were out of sight, she looked around at the remaining people. She still had no idea what had made most of them agree to come here in the first place but she was thankful they did. "Let's go find them."

"Alright, if we are going, assuming we have enough room to bring those three back, I'm just going to make one thing very clear! If I volunteer to be left behind or for some reason I get left behind...LEAVE ME! I still think going by horse is foolish. What if we miss them and we simply end up switching places? This is going to be an endless cycle of 'I can't just leave them there'. I think people keep forgetting that the demon king rose which means more demons running around...." Tasha looked at the small party while twirling a small flask around her finger. Part of her was hoping to convince them to turn back but the other part wanted adventure. She let out a sigh and walked closer to her 'friends'.

"No offense but there is a difference between volunteering to remain in Taudmor and being captured and imprisoned. Without my sister and that plant thing. How will we track them?" She figured they had already thought about what she voiced out loud. Her eyes turned to look at Angrim. She let out a sigh and spoke directly to him.

"Would there be room for me to come and still be able to bring Ara and Tathriel and...Kane home?"

(I figure we can time skip a bit since we've been talking about leaving for two days now >.< )

Levi's gaze drifted away from the intruder and met his sisters glance. They where both thinking the same thoughts. Making a quick hand gesture to her with one hand he spoke to her in a way only she would know. * I'll watch her *

Slowly moving his hand away from the hilt of his weapon, Levi straightened his back standing to his full height. His eye never leaving the strange elf that had appeared before them. He stepped a few paces back and turned to the side to allow the others to finish picking up their things before turning away.

Levi did not like the story this stranger had given, nor did she make sense of her previous statements of why she insisted that they where "intruding". Regardless of her presence, she was no real threat. If need be, Levi was convinced her could take her on if a fight was to break out. Tho his full strength was he and his twin fighting side by side, he would never boast of it.

Hearing the voice of Hiya, he was reminded that they now had a new member of their group to travel onward. What had become of the purple haired girl that he had tried to help the previous day, he did not know.

Twisting his wrist, he felt the chains tighten around his forearms. It made him feel more comfortable to know he was always armed and ready for combat. One could say it was like a security blanket to him in a way. The necklace around his neck clanked quietly as he turned his head back at the elf and the strange thing she held in her hands. It was even more unnerving then he had first imagined when he spotted it. The lifeless eyes always seemed to be staring straight at him, almost as if looking into his naked soul.

Levi turned away and following up behind the rest of his party. The moment he was back on, he placed his hand to rest upon the hilt of his weapon once more. He was now more alert then ever, his eye darting around their surroundings. There was no way the woman was alone. She had to be a decoy of a sort. Something crawled across his skin to make him feel even more uneasy, their had to be an ambush waiting for them somewhere.

The sun was just peaking over the mountain tops, burning light through the open window upon the awakening mechanic. Squinting his eyes he held his hand up to shield himself from the bright light. Within moments he slapped himself awake and threw his clothes on. Grabbing his sack of homemade cigarettes he swung open the door and made his way over to his Inn neighbor and banged on the door loudly.

"Persey! Up up up!!! We got work to do!" Marco bent over and slipped a piece of paper under her door with brief instructions to show where they would be working. He stepped away from her door and did the same to Geraldts, both with a loud knocking followed by the paper placement. Without waiting for a response, he turned heel and headed for the stairs and right out the front doors.

The sun was now climbing up higher, lighting up the red crimson sky. Tho it was the second day, Marco was quickly becoming used to the changed atmosphere. Pulling out one of his made shift blunts, he lit the end and quickly filled his lungs with God awful smoke. But he enjoyed the taste, it helped sharpen his mind. First he would stop by the bakery and grab a loaf of bread for his daily meal to wake up. Then he would head to his destination, a place just outside the city walls of Madora along the south. Their was a large flat piece of land that would be their working area.

Much time later with a loaf of bread in his hands, Marco showed up to his new "workshop". It wasn't long before he saw Bryden, the man that Aura Vantheon had appointed to help look over the project. With a big smile and a quick greeting, they both immediately began to talk about the plans. Marco had stayed up late making an exact duplicate of the print design in order to keep his book hidden from existence. Bryden turned and and gave some orders to a young man explaining the things they would need. The boy took off with the instructions to make things so.

Marco and Bryden spent a good hour discussing how they would go about building the ship, and measured the length of the land that would be needed to build the spine upon. Marco was more excited then a young boy winning a pig race. A big grin from ear to ear at the very thought of his completed project coming to full glory and taking flight to the sky.

It wouldn't be long before the lumber was transferred beyond the gates and marched around the back of the city. Marco had also begun to work up an excitement within Bryden, for he had never dreamed of building such a ridiculous thing in his life. Marco shared a few of his own stories of wonder and amusement of past inventions he had come up with. But in comparison to everything he had done up to this point, was to be no where as glorious... Except that one time at the age of 11, when Marco had built his first tiny mechanical walking turtle.

Wendi listened to them all speak again and it was even more obvious that they weren't buying anything she was selling. She didn't expect them too. She was only trying to get a better idea of what she was up against in the first place. She jumped back in front of the group before they get get too far ahead. She wasn't ready to spill all the beans yet but she said, "It's too bad you didn't just follow me. It would have been a lot easier for everyone." She smirked and she lifted Mina back onto her shoulder. It was up to her if she wanted to move yet or not. She drew her daggers and she pointed one of them in Zara's direction. "I'll be taking that human from your hands. If you hand her over to me then no one will get hurt. I'm not here to hurt or fight anyone. I need that human alive so its your decision." She waited for an answer and got ready just in case things went sour now.

Fiona looked back at Samantha for a second when she mentioned her her sword. It had belonged to Myrddin before so it was probably a famous relic. She blushed a little thinking about what it meant for him to give it to her. She smiled and figured out that Samatha mustn't have known about their engagement. But this wasn't the time to talk about it so she just said, "Yes it belongs to Myrrdin."

And then a second later the gargoyle came back and slammed its frozen tail right at her. She yelped with surprise but she was able to block it mostly. The tail slid off her sword and it scratched her thigh but didn't do more than sting a little bit. She looked at Lenneth teasingly and punched her shoulder. "Next time freeze it all the way!" She waited it to get close enough and then she slashed her sword at its belly.

Zenzu said nothing as the two briefly discussed their plan to walk through the city beyond the desert. It seemed as tho walking to their destination was the only option available. Too bad the new comer couldn't grow wings to carry them.

Zenzu's feet trudged through the hot sand following close behind the two he was to cooperate with. The light of the sun beat down upon his back but he did not show any falter in his movements. He acted as if the sun had no effect on his well being. Glancing up ahead he watched Elzennia remove her hood allowing her long red hair to fall. There was a serenity about her appearance that Zenzu found captivating. He was unable to determine why he would think that, but he would never say anything out loud. It was no one's business on what he thought.

His eyes trailed from her long hair to the fool that walked along beside her. Zenzu's eyes narrowed as his mind flooded with wrath. He and Elzennia knew nothing of him, yet she choose to allow a stranger to tag along. The fool hadn't even given his mistress a name to call himself by. Zenzu planned to keep a close eye on the fool with the mandolin, there was no telling if he would turn on them both if they became vulnerable.

Zenzu clenched his fist allowing a few joints to release a disgusting crack sound. If need be, Zenzu was confident he could tear the man limb from limb if he posed as a threat. Hell... depending on what was to become of them and if they survived, perhaps Zenzu could kill the fool without even a fight. Zenzu felt a shiver of excitment roll down his skin as he thought about the warm sticky blood between his fingers. Beads of sweat rolled down his face the more he thought about it, he could almost taste the liquid iron upon his tongue-

No! He couldn't lose control now. Zenzu shook his head back and forth grunting quietly. Looking high above them in the sky, he could see two buzzers circling their location. Too bad for the birds, but Zenzu had no intention of allowing something like the heat killing him. He was far tougher then that.

An entire day had passed on their uneventful journey as the night sky descended upon them. It was in the glint of dusk that Zenzu saw the city walls far up ahead. They had finally come within reach their destination. It was now only a matter of time to find their targets, weather they where still in the city of Rothenal he would not know.

Zara flinched when the strange spoke of her true purpose. This was no accidental meeting. The woman was looking for them but more specifically, looking for Zara. The necromancer stared at Wendi as if trying to place where she would know her from but alas, she did not recognize her. To her knowledge there was only one person who was wishing to capture her; Ephraim.

Her eyes shifted to her small party. She was fearful that they would give her up as she had not yet produced any promised currency of any kind. Zara hobbled a little more from the stranger.

"You are out numbered. Don't be foolish! I am not going with you! Who do you work for?!" Zara nearly snarled at the woman but before she could say anything, Hiya had jumped in front of her. His weapon was raised and he pointed it at the woman.

"Leave Stranger! This is Hiya's land! Hiya cut you from tip to toe!"

Nadya rested her chin on her hands as she stared out over the lands. The darkness was finally lifting to bring forth another day. Tahl had mentioned that they would arrive in Teghelm before noon and this not only excited the young woman but made her nervous. She had not yet decided on what to say to the people. Would they believe her? Would they even care to listen to her? The elves were the first to not treat her like a child but that didn't mean it wasn't to happen again. Part of her wished that Rowin was with her simply because he knew the people. At least she had Jackleen with her. Nadya let out a sigh and adjusted the form fitting armor. She really hated wearing it but Tikiya insisted that she put it on.

"When we get there, what exactly are we going to do?" She asked looking at the lights in the distance as they came over a mound. She waited for Tikiya's response quietly but it seemed the woman didn't know to much either.

"I suppose we would see if the Lord is in.Find a place to stay. Don't worry. It will all work out. They will love you. Do not burden yourself with unnecessary worry."

"What if they see me like a child, like Rowin does?"

"Even children deserve respect. Child or not, you hold the bloodline. Your name brings hope. The people are kind. They will be aware that you are new. It might take time but there are people that will be around you to support you. You aren't alone in this. You'll never be alone."

Levi stopped in his tracks as the strange elf cut them off at the front of the group. He watched as her dagger rose pointing towards Zara. The stranger then stated she wanted her alive and captivated for whatever reason.

That was where Levi drew the line.

Levi was no longer in the mood of discussing things out. With his hand on the hilt of his sword he moved with incredible speed through the small crowd. With one hand extended out, he pushed Zara behind his back and came up face to face with his new opponent. The last thing he needed was someone pointing a blade at the one who had hired the Velhass twins for protection. No one was going to harm her as long as Levi drew breath.

He did not need to say a word to Shanna, with his every movement she would know exactly what to do. His single green eye flashed for an instant with his white messy hair pushed back. Without waiting for a response from his action, Levi pulled his blade from his holster and slashed diagonally across splitting the very air in two. He was close enough to almost feel the warmth of her breath.

He wanted to separate her head from her shoulders, he was done with formalities.
