The art style was perfect for Wan's time...Everything fit in perfectly. It took me by surprise too, but I think it just shows how much of a different era the new Avatar(s) are living in...This episode was just so magical. whee

I think that the art style was to represent that it was a simpler time and it wasn't defined by different countries. That was my thought anyways. I did like that episode and my sis said it reminded her of Samurai Jack.
