Heya folks, could I ask you to lend me some effort?
I'm an older avi maker, I placed and won the avi arena back in 06 or 07. What I'm looking for information on is the new avi area system.
How are votes calculated these days?
I hear it is a trend to buy votes these days, what's the deal there?
What are the prizes for the areas these days?
Is there an achievement for placing in the top ten?
How active is the community for the avi area?
What might be the average votes for a top ten placer?

Umm lemme see, i think this place is even quieter cause of the season.
I don't think i can exactly answer how votes are calculated, we now have a five star vote system, and after a number of votes you get placed depending on your average. As for the exact kinks i have no idea.
Buying votes is against the rules, you can promote your entry in Chatterbox but that's it, of course there will always be those who do it but I don't think it's such a prevalent thing now.
The first place gets 150k gold, second gets 100k, third gets 75k, and 4th to 10th get 50k.
There's no achievement for placing, that's a nice although risky idea.
The community has declined in the avatar arenas sadly, but its not completely dead, I hope things pick up the following months. As for avatar talk its way more active than here.
The averages have also declined, I placed a couple of weeks ago and my average was 3.75.
