maybe you could try playing around with the body/eye proportions, and doing simpler poses?

It'd be great if I could ; v ; It's just so difficult to keep a style when I'm using my finger on a trackpad. And I am absolutely dreadful with poses... What kind of pose would you recommend? I suppose I could try to do bigger heads + eyes and make a cute cheeb... Wish me luck though; I'll need it XD

when i entertained the tought of doing pixel art i didn't boother with the pixel lineart, i just did a block of colour and shaded inside that block of colour
kinda like doing cel shading?
maybe it'd be easier for you in that way :3
