I have to write a paper on an artist, 6 pages long with book sources ..
I was gonna do Hieronymus Bosch because i really like him,
but there's not many books in our library that talk about his works, & only the garden of earthly delights is in our textbooks.
any ideas / fav artists of the art canon ?

You could snag the books used for the Wikipedia entry's references. I don't know how cheap they are or how much time you have before the paper is due, but I've done that a few times for reports. You end up with a pretty unusual home library shopping for books that way.
