The OP left much to be desired, for sure. The song itself wasn't so bad, but the animation felt extremely lazy. We get a minute and a half of Kaneki standing still while these arms rub over his body and occasionally put on and remove his mask. The ED was alright though.

The first episode wasn't anything too spectacular, in my opinion. It definitely felt like Ishida used this episode to quickly wrap up the final arc that S1 left off on and set up the premise for S2, which I was half-expecting.

Regardless, I'm really looking forward to where the series goes from here.

OP sucks? Hmmm i dont think so

Surely its not your typical flashy/godly/epic opening, but i liked how we see Kaneki in its entirety, sounding & looking so sad... i mean this is all about him anyway - such a tragic character! o;

I remember seeing the Anime Mirai version of it and loving it so yeah! biggrin
