Are AMV's even really that popular anymore?

I used to watch a ton of AMVs back in the day and that's initially how I got interested in rock music back in middle school, but I don't keep up with that side of the anime world anymore.

Only if you're just doing it as a hobby. For any sort of viewer/subscribe gain then no not really. I'd personally just do it as a hobby.

I guess so, I used to love watching them back inthe day but these days I can't be bothered to cycle through all of the garbage that's out there. I just sub to that one guy on youtube (Bestamvsofalltime) and watch those.

I don't see anything new for Dot Hack(.Hack) or Madoka Magica, and I don't see any Animated versions of Epic Movie Trailers going on lately either.

It seems that in terms of Variety, a decline feels like it's going on, lately.
