Tail Concerto came first [like 10 years ago] for the PSX
Solatorobo came out in the US at the end of last month for the DS, and is the spiritual squeal to Tail Concerto.

I preordered from amazon so I could get the soundtrack [but apparently, like everywhere sold the first run batch like that]
When I heard they were localizing it, I like almost had a heart attack, I've been wanting it since it came out in japan over a year ago.
And... The developers of Solatorobo were surprisingly assy with their ROM structure, It took FOREVER to extract some of the pictures and all of the music xD
[If you have a PS1/PS2, you should try getting your hands on Tail Concerto, which Solatorobo is the spiritual successor to. It's somewhat hard to find now though... for a used copy in mediocre condition, it was 40 bucks with shipping, but totally worth it IMO.]

I haven't, but I'm downloading the rom for it, since it looks fun.

Omg. Solatorobo is awesome...
Storyline: The most epic thing in the world
Art: So beautiful it makes you cry
Translation Quality: A nice, clean translation with no "Americanization"
Gameplay: A little too easy, the battle system can be a bit awkward, but it does give a good 20-30 hours of gameplay.

Bottom line, Amazing game overall, the gameplay is a little weak at parts though.
