The chill of rain granting trees relief
The ease of the grass trimmed finely beneath
Chirped gladness filling nature's ears
Sights and sounds echoing through the years

Blinded by sweet nature's light

Finding out that all things right

Trying to find true life on a tiny, little screen
Is something that's best left to sleeping's stranger dreams
Sitting at a desk all day with skyscrapers as views
Doesn't help regain something that mankind tends to lose

Delicate yet quite ornate,
Nature's content to sit and wait
For careful, grateful hands
To touch its fervent lands
And, with their presence, grace
That sweet, scintillating place
And, with their hands, repair
Damage done without a care

Alone it sits and waits
Waits for days like days gone by
When man would sit under a tree
And never wonder why
