Hey there! Nothin' much going on with me. Going to school at TCC and still working at PJ's. >.> Yeah... I just can't seem to quit Gaia even though I get the sinking feeling this ship's going down here in the very near future.
How're things for you? I miss you! D=

UPS is a pretty sweet job. You start out at $9 an hour for what I do, and by this time next year I'll be making $12 an hour!
That sucks you can't drive, if I couldn't drive I wouldn't have anything right now. No job, no therapy, no testosterone, nothing. xP

Yeah my job is outside (UPS) so I spend a good 8 hours a day when I work just lifting and carrying heavy things and running up and down steps and s**t. Also mowing the lawn in the Summer and working on cars I enjoy doing too.

Yeah I'm just pinkish pale, blue eyes, dishwater blonde hair with the temper of an Italian and my hair is sort of curly like the Italian side of the family. I keep it short enough though that only like the edges of some of my hair curl so you can't tell until it starts growing out. xP In the Summer I tan so well tho which is definitely the Italian side too, but I always burn really bad first- German side xD

Wow, you do look very much like him!
I know I don't look like my dad's side of the family because I'm exactly 50/50 German and Italian, and my appearance is very much the German side of the family where my dad's side is the Italian side. and I don't look like either of my mom's parents because she was adopted soo. Oh well

That's so awesome! Yeah I go through McKeesport to get to therapy/the doctor's/a lot of places as of recently actually!
My grandpa was born/went through school there. I wasn't closed to any of my grandparents at all, though I was probably closer to him and my grandma because me and my older brother lived with them until I was about 10, and then at 11 my grandpa passed away and it was back to being with my parents. My dad's side of the family though I wasn't closed to at all, and whenever I came out as trans my mom told me to just stay away from that side of the family so.. Meh. Pretty sure all of my grandparents have passed away now though

Well then that's great! Just wasn't totally sure, so you should be fine then! I didn't wanna give false hopes or anything though, because even though my insurance doesn't cover testosterone, where I get it from it goes on a sliding scale and is income based so I know that I get it much cheaper than a lot of other guys whom I've heard have to pay.. A lot for it.
But that's great that you have good insurance! I'm glad. Best of luck with finding a specialist! I'm lucky I live so close to Pittsburgh and there was one about a half hour away from me

Yeah, but since you're 18, you've already gone through puberty and everything so unfortunately at this point, it really doesn't matter if you were to start this year or in 3 years, because your body has basically finished going through female puberty already.
Basically, it only makes a big difference if you can start before you get your first period. Because then you can not get your period ever, not grow a chest, and just. Ugh, I wish I could've done that. :c
And yeah, do you have insurance? Because I know that it can cost upwards of like $90-100 for some guys I've talked to. I just don't wanna make you think it's always as cheap as what I got, I really lucked out as far as where I live and where I get my T and stuff.

Oh s**t did I say 50 mL it's actually.. 5 mL. It's about 6 months worth, 5 or 6 for under $10.
Yeah see I don't know about asking a psychiatrist to recommend or anything because I just went straight to a gender specialist, no one else.
As far as going to a specialist or a hospital or anything I'm not quite sure- With me, where I went they had a gender team. and after I went through everything to get my letter, one of the members of their team was an endo so I just went right to him. Like I knew him prior to even started testosterone so I had my physical and stuff done by him before I even officially got my letter. LONG STORY SHORT the guy was a part of where I went to therapy so I didn't have to search for an endo, I just went right to his doctor's office, I got the t there (though I had to do bloodwork and stuff prior) and now I just go to him for all my doctorly needs.

Yeah, my period stopped finally, at least it's stopped right now and I'm assuming that it's going to stay gone because it's been so long and there's really no reason why it'd start back up again. And yeah, I should probably go see my therapist too, I need to. She called me a couple weeks ago but with the holidays right here, I just didn't want to bother making the time to get up there until after New Year's.

And injections are WAY faster. Whenever you inject, it's like 2 weeks worth of T hits you, and then dwindles down until right before you have to inject again and then it's like, your T levels are lower than a normal male and then BAM 2 weeks of T again. Where as gel/cream it's more steady, daily thing and it's slower to go in and so it'll take like a year to give you what 2 months on injections will

Yeah my voice was terribly high before testosterone, and that was initially what I was looking forward to the most with testosterone, and then it turned into me losing my period and now it's alllll about the body hair.
Yeah, I'm on government health care and I lucked out as far as where I went to therapy I didn't have to pay for anything as far as copays or anything go. I only had to pay about $100 for an appointment I had when I had a brief lapse in coverage. But yeah, you would probably need to go to a gender specialist. If you talk to your psychiatrist about it though, they may be able to help you find a gender specialist, recommend someone y'know?
I inject .5mL every other week, and I 50mL for $9.75. Injections are definitely the absolute cheapest form of testosterone you can get, and you'll also get the changes faster too

That's awesome! Yeah you're incredibly fortunate for all you've inherited, because I didn't get s**t. xD
I mean, when I say I didn't have s**t- I didn't even really have leg hair. Or armpit hair. I'm only just now getting it thanks to testosterone. My legs were the most dysphoric part about me for the longest time, even over my chest during the Summer because they just looked so shaven even though they weren't and never had been!
And I've got some serious hips, but I'm starting to see some fat redistribution from the testosterone, so even though they're there, now my binder doesn't roll up as bad or anything. Hopefully by the end of 2012 my top surgery'll be in sight though, and right now I'm in the process of getting my name changed!

Lucky! See before T I didn't have anything
I mean on a good day I could pass maybe 50% of the time pre-T but that was it.
But now I'm about 3 months on T, I've got a deeper voice and more body hair daily so that number is rising gradually now thank glob!

You do look younger, but I wouldn't go as far as saying twelve! I'd probably say about 16ish.
It's ok, I look hella young still too. I'm only just starting to get facial hair, but my body hair is insanely light so you can't really see it. I'm more excited that my leg hair is finally becoming visibly there and I'm getting a happy trail which is pretty much making my life. xD I'm so in love with it right now, it's sort of sad!

Lucky dog!
I'm going to be coming up on 3 months on testosterone and I'm only just now starting to pass regularly.
I passed a decent amount I guess pre-T, but I was seen as feminine more often than not. xP
