I've never bothered to keep track of HP count, unfortunately. If you want more HP, then you can always equip accessories that boost HP. Also, even if you don't have much HP, remember that higher defense can still make that HP last for a long time. A huge HP bar makes no difference if it all gets blown off in two hits. With your accessories, I'd try to equally boost the two. A few accessories boost both! Don't be afraid to shift around your accessories or keyblades if you find that the combination you have now is proving ineffective.

One more thing. Instead of trying to fly out of harm's way when Maleficent breaths fire, try rolling out of the way. See, sometimes Maleficent whips her head all over the place while she is breathing fire, and occasionally the stream of flames will smack you right out of the air, and cause you to land directly on the area she just set fire to. It doesn't feel good. If you roll out of the way, as long as you start while Maleficent is still inhaling to breath the fire, you've got a better chance of getting the frick out of dodge.

It all depends on your skill level. Unfortunately, it has been so long since the day I fought her for the first time, I can't remember what level I was at...but since you are new to the KH world, I would recommend high 40s and even low 50s if you have the patience. The Heartless right there in Hollow Bastion are perfect for leveling up, as they give you a bunch of experience. And as for what keyblade, that depends on your playing strategy. For example, if you fight most with magic, than Fairy Harp might be best for you, as it sacrifices physical strength for more MP and magic power. If you are a straight-up swordfighter, you might wanna go with Metal Chocobo and sacrifice MP for physical strength. If you use both frequently in battle, like me, Olympia should provide a decent mix of both. It is a powerful blade that does not sacrifice any MP, though it doesn't boost it either. Play to your strengths.

That's a good wow. A very, very good wow. As in a "Wow, you sure are beautiful..."

Hey, we all have to start somewhere. I remember my first time fighting Dragon Maleficent...I somehow beat her on the first try, but I had the most close calls ever recorded in a span of a 5 minute battle, probably. Goofy and the Beast were lying dead in the fire, and every time they would revive, they would immediately burst into the flames and die again....am I scaring you? It really isn't that bad if you have a high enough level, and there are certain points where you can take refuge in the brambles, and the only thing that can hit you is the homing fireballs that you can bounce back and damage her with!
