Literature

I've read and like some Stephen King, M.T., F. Scott Fitzgerald, J.R.R. Tolkien, a few poems by Robert Frost, a couple by Emily Dickinson, a couple more of Walt Whitman's.

I've tried (and am trying) my hand at some Russian literature.

Crime and Punishment was a HARD read. It made me decide that Russian nicknames are consciously and purposefully chosen for the sole purpose of confusing non-Russians. razz

Tolstoy's War and Peace is making me think that there was really no difference between any of the European societies and Russian society to begin with. As an unexpected side-effect, it puts the French Revolution in a better light than I had expected. razz

I used to read certain U.S. comics religiously: mostly Marvel Comics, and amongst those, the X-men titles I collected most heavily.

There's more, but I don't know how to make it sensible any more than I know how to make what I've already got down digestible. It all seems too random as it is. I guess if I think up something better I'll edit this later.

Call me Pipe. I'm a pretty average 34 year old pocket philosopher as we go. I don't find U.S.A. bashing agreeable (or for that matter, anyone who engages in it.) I do like classic fiction, some un-classic fiction, and occasionally "Bushies" when intoxicated by the dreaded hemp. Bologna and cheese sandwiches are also good.
