So...uh...a little Kama-ness for my (one) reader....s....? By the way, for my read....er..., over and over reminds me a little more of Kama and Garett. Think about it!
The dark haired girl curled up on a windowsill, playing with a purple streak of hair. She kne somethingw as going to happen now. Her family still wanted her to be the-dare she THINK it- heiress? Fine. She'd say it their way. Pri-- She nearly gagged at the thought. Ugh. And now they wanted her to have a mentor. A MENTOR. Uuuugh. She glanced up at hearing Garett's footsteps. Before he even kncoekd, she called, "Come in." She heard the door creak open, but she didn't look at him. Human contact had become difficult for her, accented by the wings that had a mind of their own, dealing with heavy bruising on her back as said wings evolved, and the black markings on her eyes. "Hey." She greeted, staring out the window at the usual view from her little hidey-hole. Garett took a closer look at her fae. "What's wrong?" She hesitated. Damn. He knew her too well.
"I have to go." Seeing startled-ness on his face, she quickly added, "Just for a little while. My family decided I needed a babysitter. So..." She kissed him on the cheek. "I'll be seeing you soon." She didn't give him a chance to answer before she let the wind catch her leathery wings and disappeared.
