More than You Wanted to KnowIf we Shadows have offended, think but this and all is mended.. that you did but slumber here, while these visions did appear..
Puck, "A Midsummer's Night's Dream"
I'm an avid reader, willing to try to read just about everything. My favorite authors are:
Jeffrey Deaver: Forensic mysteries with flair!
Laura Anne Gilman: Magic in a modern world.
Jeff Lindsay: A wolf protecting the sheep? A serial killer who kills only other serial killers -- that's Dexter.
Jennifer Fallon: Awesome fantasy
J.K. Rowlings: ....how can you NOT love this woman?
Kim Harrison: Modern magic with an edge
Kelley Armstrong: Her Women of the Otherworld are strong.
Laurell K. Hamillton: Her classic Anita Blake is one of the strongest women in fiction. She takes absolutely NO crap!
Frank Beddor: He's re-writing Alice in Wonderland (and it's Alyss, btw) in such cool ways! The Cheshire Cat is an assassin! The Mad Hatter is a warrior without equal!
Eoin Colfer: Artemis Fowl is the snarkiest genius you'll meet.
James Patterson: I've been reading Maximum Ride. Definitely makes me want to have wings. I will admit I was disappointed by the third book, but here's hoping that The Final Warning will make up for it.
I especially like a lot of the Japanese manga that's found it's way here. Currently on my reading list is:
Black Sun Silver Moon
Vampire Hunter D
Her Majesty's Dog
Gunsmith Cats and Gunsmith Cats: Burst
Full Metal Panic! Overload
Aquarian Age: Juvenile Orion
Please Save My Earth
Yu Yu Hakusho
Sorceror Stabber Orphen
Flame of Recca
Clamp School Detectives
Ouran High School Host Club
Mysterious Girlfriend X
Vampire Hunter D
I'm a sucker for gothic horror, suspense, romance, and a good laugh.
I have lately been listening to the competitors for Eurovision, an awesome song contest. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go to YouTube and do a search! Lots of countries are represented. The only sad part is not being able to find the music in the states! ;.; You can now find the results from Eurovision 2008 on You Tube!
I write and I've beta read for others, but I don't have as much time for beta reading as I used to. I also tended to be very exact when I said what I did and didn't like.
My sister, Spring (yes, really!), says that I'm a spastic nervebag. I tend to be too hyper or too focused. I like taking long walks to listen to music and just think. I have to be moving when I'm thinking -- I get my best ideas when I'm either walking or driving.
I think you should be there for your friends, do one good thing a day, and never forget that there's a song for everything you feel.
Remember, be good, or be good at it!
