Exactly so. Why should we bother to write or produce any form of entertainment if they are just going to steal it anyway, always with the old excuse 'well, it's just ONE copy... said, in my case, 40,000 downloads. Why buy when they can steal it, and then say we should be HAPPY they wanted our product. Nope. No use for them, and we should be able to sue them for damages if we find out who they are.

I completely agree. I lost enough money in one year from piracy that I'd have been able to pay off my debts and most of my house if those had been actual sales. Still wouldn't have been rich but I'd have been a lot better off than I am. He is trying to hide behind 'only the rich lose money to piracy, but the truth is that it really doesn't hurt them. It hurts the little guys and gals. Truthfully, that is why I never finished the third book because I lost so much to pirates.

Ours isn't a growing area and not much money is made here so not much money is spent here and all that... well, at least the Friendly's closing here wasn't actually the fault of our particular city. All of the Friendly's restaurants in this part of the state closed. Still, it leaving doesn't exactly promote local interest and/or spending. sweatdrop
