I'm a male. I'm a college freshmen now in my second semester. I'm a Jester for a(n unofficial) royal court. That's all you need to know about me.

Oh yeah, I'm also OT 9000

I am the Jester, but I should be king.
If laughter were power, then I would be king.
If laughter were power, then heaven would shower
Its blessings on me and I would be King.

And if I were King, oh what I could do
For people who--se
Hearts never quite match their wits,
Who throw out life's cherries,
And keep the pits!

Take, for instance, my Royal Court:
When mirth was pass'd 'round,
They came up short.
Life to the rich can be a real bore,
Stick around; I'll tell you more.

A sentence the cannot construct.
From that, I must deduct:
That life has lost its youthful zest,
And they need most what I do best.

Laughter's the medicine that they need,
And if I were King it would be decreed
That for breakfast one would be served a smile.
At luncheon a chuckle would most beguile.
But for dinner, a great hearty belly laugh
Would aid the digestion on their behalf.
And the day would finish as it did begin
With a midnight snack of a delicious grin.

Ahh, if I were king, then by royal decree,
My entire realm would be royalty.
Any man who brought another man mirth
Would be made noble, as if by birth.
And any who laughed, and laughed a lot,
Would be knighted there, right on the spot.
And all little girls who smile so nice
Would be princesses, at least once or twice.
And gigglers...
......................(With gigglers it's always chancy.)
Let them pick any title that tickled their fancy!

If I were King, all wars would cease,
For I have the perfect plan for peace.
For peace, I'd feather the bowmen's bows
With feathers so big, they'd tickles the nose
Of the bowmen who'd laugh so in delight
That they'd give up the battle and give up the fight.
(Of course, they might die laughing...)

But I am not king, and I would not be.
For I choose to laugh at the royalty.
And they laugh at me, and the whole world rings.
And that's worth a thousand, thousand kings.

I'm sure you'll find someplace willing to take you on. Something tells me you're really good at your craft. We had a short masterclass with our sound design intern at the end of last semester all on mixing and microphones. It was only two hours long but it was so overwhelming, and it was just some basics that actors might need to know. I respect people who can learn things like that, it is not easy.
I have no been acting long, really, I'm closing in on my third year. Its a long story that I won't get in to, but in a nutshell I used to do music and some how I ended up on stage and some how I ended up at a conservatory haha. But I adore it, Im glad it worked out this way.

Oh thats interesting... I guess because it seems like such a separate world from lights at my company/school I would have never thought that. That doesnt seem very fair.

Well I will keep my fingers crossed for you! What kinds of things do people look for in someone when they are hiring a sound designer?

I am understudying Mrs. Gardiner in Pride and Prejudice. And about not getting cast, it happens. Doesnt mean youre not talented just that it wasnt totally right for you. I have to tell myself that all the time. Plans for after college?

Sound designing is awesome. I tried my hand at tech when I first got into theatre and wasn't very good at it. (Though I did learn how to decently use a spot light this year, if that counts for anything, and was a spot op for the entire run of Peter Pan.) I tried acting and stuck with that ever since. I always had a musical background but can't believe I never really tried acting. Working on a production right now??
