The Phantom of the Opera Australian Cast Recording and / or Filmed Stage Performance Petition
On the 26th of September, 2007, 11:50 Australian Central Time, Unexpected Song launched the petition for a Phantom of the Opera Australian Cast Recording starring Anthony Warlow. It was then suggested that there be a filmed state performance petition, and so the two ideas were welded together to become the Phantom of the Opera Australian Cast Recording and / or Filmed Stage Performance Petition (Starring Anthony Warlow). By the 2nd of October the petition had received 55 signatures in support of the "really worthy cause" (Unexpected Song member "geldrig"). At present, on the 20th of January 2010, midnight, the petition has 2497 signatures. Thank you to all the members who have signed so far, and who have gathered the names of friends, family, work colleagues and associates who support this petition. This petition will remain open for has long as it takes for our dream to come true.
If you would like to sign the petition, feel free to contact this account or go to any one of our specified sites:
Please Note Because this is an extended account of my main, all the items this account has has been bought with my own money, real and Gaian, unless people decide to be nice and donate to this account ^)_^
G'day all, Marie-Cris here, Captain of the US Forum! Not at all a sailor, but since we "surf" in Cyberspace ...
Never mind.
Now I'm not going to do the big write-up like I did on Unexpected Song's MySpace page ((link to your left)), but if you would like to read the history of Unexpected Song feel free to go to the MySpace ((to your left! No, your other left!)) page and ... well, read it.
Unexpected Song: Celebrating the Life of Anthony Warlow - or "US" for short - is a fan dedication forum to none other than Anthony Warlow. Now three years' old ((Unexpected Song turned 3 on the 20th of April, 10:03 pm GMT plus 9.5, and had an open-forum throughout the whole of April to celebrate, as well as a game where three users won prize packs [see journal to your right])), the forum has over 270 members, a majority of this number actually posts, randoms off the street are always telling Anthony Warlow about the site, and Anthony Warlow himself has seen it several times over.
So we've obviously done something right.
Unlike The International Anthony Warlow Association - another Anthony Warlow fan forum also hosted by proboards ((which I only found the day after I had made Unexpected Song)) - the site is visited and used on a daily basis. It provides essential information on Anthony Warlow to those who are new to him or who are old fans seeking to enhance their knowledge ((particularly since his personal website went down; I was informed of exactly why, when I met him for the second time [information on the site])). It's also a place for fans to relax, unwind, play games and chat about anything and everything.
If you're interested in finding out more about Anthony Warlow - Australia's Living National Treasure, Australia's 1st Phantom (1990), World's Youngest Phantom (aged 28 in 1990) and the undisputed King of Australian Musical Theatre - then drop on by and give US a shout.
