Lifting her mug as she blew lightly against the liquid, feeling her mind drift back to certain things he had pointed out. Another flash of light flickered above the skylight located above from where they sat. The suddenness of something in the background slamming shut brought Rei out of her thoughts. Lowering the mug her head had shifted towards the direction of where the sound had come forth from. Completely attuned to the sounds of the house, she waited to hear any type of movement. Hearing nothing, she set the mug down before her and rose out of her seat. Without so much of a word, Rei walked out of the kitchen and into the hallway. Allowing a good bit of time to pass, she turned to head back into the kitchen when she heard the slam again. The rain was wrecking havoc against the roof top and along the windows. Shadows were thrown up along the walls in unfamiliar shapes when the lightning flashed. Staring down the hallway, she watched as the unfamiliar shapes form into doors and slam against the walls. Each door slamming shut, one by one. Until the door before her slammed hard against her, causing Rei to snap out of a trance she had fallen into and didn't realize it.
Rei had never left her chair, nor had she released her mug that was snug securely within her grasp. Staring wide eyed as she took in a deep breath of surprise, she undoubtedly caused some sort of reaction to come forth from Knight sitting across from her. She had started to say something but no words came forth. Other than the realization that her mug was now empty. This time, she heard a noise down the hall that made her react not so calmly as she had done in the trance. Holding onto her empty mug she took a stand, moving towards the door. Almost reluctantly reaching out for the door knob that appeared to turn slowly on it's own. Her vision had her on edge, as the mug began to glow red as she readied to use the mug as a weapon. As the locking mechanism clicked and the door began to open, Rei shouted, "Evil Spirit BE GONE!" Throwing the mug directly into the open path of whatever may of been on the other side of the door! Sealing whomever or whatever's fate with a mug radiating with power.
Light flashed across her indigo eyes as she heard the Moonlight Knight ask his question. Rei appeared to be frozen with her hands clasping along the mug that she had brought up to her lips to take a sip of her hot tea. Sitting absolutely still, with the mugs' warmth started to apply a sting from a ceramic burn. She didn't look over at him, as she lowered her mug to set it along the tabletop. "Right... tea. Of course I will get you some." Pushing her chair back she stood up as if her mind was under some kind of influence. Moving in a fluid manner over towards the stove top she stared at the kettle for a moment before gathering up a mug from the cupboard, dropping in a silk pouch filled with fresh tea leaves. Adding the boiling water to the mug, before turning to deliver the mug back to where he was seated.
"I hope you realize that you have been given a wonderful gift. A once in a life time opportunity. And it just seems that you are squandering it away. Why not take advantage of the time you are given to do something that YOU want to do. Do things that you want to experience. Try out activities that you've never been involved with. So many people take what they have for granted. Not realizing that in an instance, everything that can vanish. And those people, never try out something new, never do what their heart desires. It would be such a waste, to not take advantage of what golden opportunity you've been granted!" Speaking her mind to him then, since he practically told her not to fear the outcome of her chosen words. Waiting for all what had been held back to settle in his mind she finally replied about what she thought she had seen in the flames. "Uncertainty." Chewing idly along her lower lip, before swallowing a breath. Indigo eyes drifting over to where he sat, "To answer your question Usagi is fine, so is Makoto, Minako and Ami....and yet I feel an uncertain emptiness from within. I...I don't know, how else to explain it. I mean, we, all of us are still here. I'm assuming that Mamoru is alive and well, I haven't seen him though. Then again, the last time I saw him....we had defeated Queen Beryl." Frowning slightly as she stood there beside the table, her hands out and down before the tabletop surface. Fingertips were spread out from one another as she took the time to recollected memories. The sensation of something being off made the gravity of the situation seem a lot more surreal than she originally realized.
"You know...eh, never mind." Waving her hand out before her as she dismissed the thoughts that danced around in her mind. Rei was reluctant in speaking her mind with him then. She wanted to say, 'You have been given a wonderful gift. A once in a life time opportunity. And it just seems that you are squandering it away. Unsure of how he would take the message she was trying to get across to him. She wanted him to be happy, to try and live a full life even though he acted like he didn't deserve it. At least that was the impression she was reading off of him. The whistling of the teapot drew her out of her thoughts, as she withdrew the kettle from the burner while spontaneously turning off the heat. Pouring the water into a mug that already had a tea bag settled in it. As she set the kettle down along the counter top, she made her way across kitchen to take a seat beside him. Feeling his eyes, Rei looked up from where she sat. Feeling their eyes instantly connect with one another, as that faint barely there blush seemed to blossom in color along her cheeks. Breaking the silence as her voice was filled with sincere concern and sweetness at the same time. "Are you sure there isn't anything I can do for you?"
