Just the mentioning of the name Waller, made the good doctor shiver. Thanking Batman for the assistance since apparently her legs were all wobbly and had turned to a jell-o state. Which made no sense to her as to why she felt so off. "I know that Dr. Amanda Waller will be attending the inauguration because she's to be the new Vice President of the United States." Just saying that was a mouth full, as well as leaving a bitter taste in her mouth. Walking with Batman's aid to the batmobile, she felt heavy like lead. Still completely unaware of what just happened, let alone what she was experiencing. As well as what Batman had just witnessed. "I had been invited to attend the inauguration. By orders, I was following through by attending the event. Trust me when I say this, I'd rather stay on the Watch Tower and watch the events unfold from there. Verses witnessing the event unfold in person. Orders are orders. I'm not particularly in the mood to disobey an order, nor do I have a history of doing such. So, to keep the balance in the universe I made the decision to attend the event. I figured since I was being escorted by the Hall of Justice security to Washington, that I would not just be standing out in the court yard with the people out in the crowds that were lining the streets. That I'd be sitting in some secure area." She shrugged her shoulders, as she reached down into her string purse at her side, removing the invitation out and handing it to Batman. The invitation, said the address, the time the inauguration was to take place and as to where she would be sitting.

Cecilia saw he was speaking to her as she went to respond a high pitched sound echoed and pierced through her eardrums. Cringing she held onto her head a bit longer as she fought off the wave of vertigo strike her. "Oh! My head...." She stated in hushed tones, rubbing her fingertips along her temple as she dealt with an annoying tension headache that came from no where. Even though Batman was within an arms length distance, his voice still seemed muffled. As if she was under water trying to figure out what he was saying. Cecilia waved her hand towards him, albeit a bit off balanced. "Hold the phone a minute.. " What was he talking about? As Batman's words finally seemed to be clearer as she focused on his statement. "What was that? What has happened to you?" Mouthing the word, 'what?' back at him. "W-what do you mean what was that? What has happened to me?" The high pitched sound started to fade away as everything in the world seemed right once more. At least for the time being. "Where's the limo? And the security guards...? They... they were just here... weren't they? Yes! I was.. en route to ... to... to... I had left the Watch Tower and was being lead by a security team to a limo waiting outside the Hall of Justice to drive me to Washington for the Presidential inauguration and..." It was very obvious she was confused as to what was going on. Trying to piece together an event that had taken place a while ago. Perhaps this form of memory loss was related to whatever Batman may have seen? Or may have thought he saw. Cecilia leaned back and luckily there was a wall back there to hold her up for support as she was completely flabbergasted by what was going on. Surely there was a reason why Batman intercepted, right?

Muffled words started to sink into the muck that surrounded Cecilia in a thick haze. The painted woman, Batman saw made a visible head shake off to the side as the expression shifted to confusion. The eyes became glazed over in uncertainty. The louder her name was called out, the more Cecilia came to the surface. The darkness surrounding the painted figure started to literally melt away vanishing to the shadows. The snakes that had started to surround him dispersed into non existence. As if she was waking from a nightmare, Cecilia brushed away the cobwebs that had been blocking her view. Cecilia stood there with a bewildering expression. She had no idea what had occurred, not even a hint or a clue leading to what just transpired. ".....Hmm?" Cecilia seemed to become more focused as she saw Batman standing before her. "Um...?" Wondering why he was there. Did they have an appointment? She's really good about making sure to be timely to appointments as well as remembering them. Reaching up to rub at her temple, as if trying to remember. To recall, what she was supposed to do let alone say. She was completely at a loss.

Only the faint rattle of bone and iron charms dangling from this woman's tribal painted skeletal mask gave little warning to the man who was near her presence. Her body was painted from ash and mud covering her in darkness. Ornate stripes of white, green, and red paint and decorated the surface of her body, blending in perfectly with the sun bleached bones resting atop of her skin. Painted skeletal features turned around slowly towards the voice that had made its presence known. Radioactive green eyes glowed in an eerie ghostly effect. The person standing there was not the doctor of the Justice League, but something else trying to transform the person from the inside out. Something dark, menacing and twisted. Speaking in an indigenous foreign tongue, she began to spout out a spell that could be considered a threat towards the one standing before her. No recognition could be seen from within the eyes as this creature faced down a new opponent. Within her grasp, it looked like a round scepter and inside beads shook violently from within. The sound emitting forth from the rattle was that of several rattle snakes that started to appear from the shadows along the ground. Their dark shadows slowly started to take shape and form from nothing aiming directly towards the man, yet the snakes had not delivered the first blow. Though the threat was very apparent if he made a wrong move they would strike without hesitation.

"And I think you know what I meant, Bruce. I don't offer my feelings to just anyone. I think you've known all along, what my feelings are." That was a pretty bold statement that spoke in volumes. She was sure if he did not feel the same in return, he would say so and she would back off. Plain and simple. She watched how he circled around her avoiding eye contact as well as changing the subject then. Never surprised her, he was good at changing the subject when something was on his mind. "Of course we do Bruce. It's called life." Diana sighed seeing Bruce standing with his back to her once more. Walking over beside him, looking over the edge to see the city wondering what it was he was particularly looking at, if anything at all. Glancing up past her long luscious locks of her onyx hair that fell down across her face. "Then lets make the best of life for now. Shall we?"

No one should ever be alone during times of grief." Diana smiled in a quiet sense, as she allowed her hand to gently cradle the side of his face as she kept the eye contact with him. "Trust me when I say this, Bruce. You are no burden to me. I am here by choice. I want to be here. I am here until you ask me to leave. I will do anything that is within my power and my grasp to help you, you know this. You are my best friend, Bruce, I will always be here for you. I care about you and I always have. So please, don't ever think that whatever you are going through is too much for me to handle or a burden. I have been known to take care of myself in dire situations. Right now, take the time to be yourself. Relax, don't over strain yourself during this time. Don't completely let your guard down, but know this your Amazon Princess is here and will protect you, while you take all the time you need."
