they eat brine shrimp, earthworms, salmon pellets, things like that. and anything that moves in front of their face. they are essentially blind, and their mouths work like little vaccuums.
you have to be careful if you have more than one in a tank because they will bite off eachother's stuff, like fingers and gills and legs. but they are really great at regeneration, so it all works out!
unless you live somewhere cold! in my house its about 70, and the water is about 60. they like it about 50-60.
its just like, regular water changes and normal tank stuff if you set it up right. o:

they are super fun to watch, and a little difficult. like, once you get the hang of it they are super low maintenence, but there's a lot to learn about them and their sensitive little bodies.
the biggest problem is keeping the water cold. aquarium chillers are really expensive gonk
