Look at this cute little guy I drew for a friend here on Gaia. Isn't he cute?

“Huh? Aww ohmygosh!” She cooed in an excited whisper as she turned around, still trying to keep her voice in check so not to wake the sleeping grunt, he’d probably been awake much longer than she had after all, that floor looked even less comfortable than it did the night before. “Now who do we have here? You’re a cute little thing aren’t you!”
She hummed quietly as she extended her hand to let the little rattata sniff her—making sure she wouldn’t get bit. Adalynn definitely didn’t want to be on the receiving end of a hyper fang from those teeth, yikes! That shadow ball had already messed her up badly enough. “I bet you’re hungry, huh little guy? Let’s see what I’ve got in here that you can eat, cause I’m pretty sure coffee grounds are no good for you!”
“Good night.” She muttered in a sweetly tired voice, trying and failing to stifle a yawn as she spoke. Addy was out like a light in a matter of minutes—after the day they’d had could anyone blame her? Adalynn curled up warm and snug in her almost comedically oversized sweater and surprisingly warm bedspread, even with her chilly vulpix nestled up under her arm—the both of them were out cold.
The young woman was absolutely none the wiser as the grunt woke in the middle of the night, once he was sure that the both of them—especially that overly protective vulpix were out. She’d had no idea he’d been riffling through her belongings in search of that priceless swablu that she’d naively shown off earlier. Adalynn would have been heartbroken had little Marzi been taken from her. She’d been with that little one since she was just a girl. She’d have been pleased as punch to know his conscience had gotten the better of him.
Thankfully the chilly night had come and gone and now that the fletchling were up and chirping, so was Addy. She was trying pitifully to rekindle the fire from last night—she wanted to make coffee for them. She had water, a filter and grounds but… no fire to heat the water. “What…? What the fu-… how did he do this so easily last night?” She muttered in a confused whisper as it was still very early, the sun had only just began to rise and the little cabin was still dark, she didn’t want to wake him as she knelt next to him.
Adalynn got up and removed the thicker blanket from he bed, there was another smaller sheet under the main blanket, “I have this huge sweater so, take this at least.” She said handing him the folded up blanket, “And you can use this spare sweater of mine as an extra pillow too. I hate seeing you down here like this. I’d lend you my vulpix to cuddle with tonight but… she kinda makes things much colder than her Kanto counterpart!” She joked before crawling into bed again. “Anyway do try and sleep well, it’s been… quite the night.” She hummed with a tired laugh.
“Sleep well, man.” Adalynn said with a yawn before closing her eyes and trying to drift off herself.
