When Takamura was nothing but a mere child a merciless fate played along his life. He thought nothing was going to happen until he watched as his parents, along with his home burn to flickering flames. As he watched the bar burn, his parents screams and the demonic laughter resonating in his ears, he was grabbed around the mid section by one of the fleeing patrons, a creature known to most as an elf, though they preferred Eledhrim. She carried him back to the forest that was her home. Her name was Artanis Nerwen, the maiden crowned by a radiant garland in the language Takamura grew to speak, his father was simply known as Círdan. To them he had no name, a newborn, though he was a boy of 7. They gave him a name, one fitting his troubles, though later he would choose his own. Dior Eluchíl he was called lost soul it meant. He lived for a time in peace, learning the ways of the elves, their language, their culture. In that time he discovered a gift. A great power had been bestowed upon him, and with that power greater responsibility. At the age of 18 he was called before the council of elders and they told him of this power, and of his past. Shocked he ran from the chamber and out of the village he had grown to call home, out into the wilderness. The child chose this time to bestow upon himself a new title, again one that fit the man it was bestowed upon. He became Takamura. A fortnight he wandered hungry and alone, before he encountered a wise wizened and his young apprentice. The wizard, Romestamo, taught Takamura of this power, calling it spirit energy. With it Takamura could heal wounds, and increase his speed dramatically, but like all things it had its limits.
Takamura had been training with the apprentice, who like himself had been taught to use spirit energy, in the ways of the samurai. Takamura learned quickly the pillars of Bushido, the samurai code of honor. Takamura would grow to live by this code, and one day die by it. The apprentice, who Takamura knew as Tamura, taught him how to fight with a Katana. Takamura trained with the two of them, roaming the world as they did. Often Takamrua would best the apprentice in their training matches, though Takamura was often bested. As they traveled Takamura’s power grew, his ability to control his spirit energy increased. By the age of 24 he could form rudimentary shields, if only for a short time. His healing abilities expanded as he grew older, though their price grew as well. One fateful day the three of them were traveling across the frozen north when they were attacked by a group of bandits. Watching in horror as both his friend and mentor were ruthlessly slain Takamra killed them all, the katana of Tamura became his own, and he carries it with him even still. Through his travels after the death of his mentors Takamura returns to the forest where he grew up to find it in ruins, his home destroyed, his elf family slain. Sifting through the debris of the once great city he finds two stone daggers, used more for ceremonies than battle, and a single stone talisman. Upon the daggers he engraved the names of his elf parents, and his mentor. Around the talisman he engraved the name of his friend. He could feel a strange force emanating from them, and when he closed his eyes he could see their faint outline. It was then that he learned he could sense auras, the energy living beings gave off, imperceptible to most humans.
He is 28 now, the deaths of those he grew to know ever remembered by the cross shaped scar on his left cheek, the only scars he could not heal. They were emotional as well as physical; maybe that’s why he did it, four years ago. He wanders now, the daggers and talisman always by his side, the katana always on his hip. He has nothing, no one, the only thing that keeps him going is his hatred for the dishonorable. On a recent expedition with Krato, the future King of a mythical land known as Zerthia, he learned that he was to become the next Golden Avatar, master of all the elements: Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Light, and Dark. His newfound powers have given him new insights on life, and though he has only a basic knowledge of their capabilities, and limited control, he knows that certain emotions control certain elements. With the knowledge, and the help of his newfound friend, Takamura is determined to completely master his abilities.
