Despite the fact she has been quite busy in the last few months, Sakura wanted to make it up to everyone in the best way that she possibly could! Allowing that thought to momentarily drift to the recesses of her mind, the emerald-orbed lass grinned before bringing her hands before her, revealing a prettily wrapped gift as she bowed gently towards the dark-haired mage, her lovely smile unwavering. "A-Ano, dozo! Ne, I hope you like it, Eriol-kun!"

Descendant of Clow

(Oh you know, nothing related completely to the main roleplay, just some Eriol and Syaoran "banter". ' v ' )



It was no secret that Syaoran was fiercely independent. After all, the martial artist was born and raised in an environment where it paid to be able to fend for one's self no matter the circumstance. From an early age he was taught to be independent and self-reliant, and independent and self-reliant he was. He found that he really didn't mind solitude.

At that moment, however, he felt unusually... lonely. It wasn't something he felt often, but with his girlfriend's busy schedule proving to be incompatible with his own uneventful one, he was starting to feel the ache for companionship.

It was not pleasant. The unusual feeling of loneliness made him extremely uncomfortable.

The weight of loneliness made him so uncomfortable with himself that he originally sought the company of Yamazaki. With the intention of asking the cunning boy to come over to read manga or to play video games (or whatever friends did together outside of school, really), he called him. With a hint of guilt in his usual deceivingly cheery voice, Yamazaki told him that he already had plans to accompany his longtime girlfriend on a date and promised to hang out the next time. Unsurprisingly, Yamazaki was quick to spout interesting facts (also known as nonsense to those who knew better) about Canadian currency smelling of maple syrup. It was amazing, he wasn't even aware that something so mass-produced could be made to smell of something you put on breakfast foods! Interested, he wanted to Yamazaki to continue however the sound of Chiharu yelling at his antics bellowed through the other line before their conversation was cut short.

Now, Syaoran roamed the streets of Tomoeda. Alone, of course. Great, the one time he was without Sakura and desired company, his only option was also busy. Sighing, Syaoran shoved his hands in his pockets as he trudged forward, idly playing with his wallet inside one of his pockets. At least wasting time at the arcade didn't require company, although it required spending money. It was something to keep him from going stir-crazy within the confines of his room.

In the distance, he was mildly surprised to see Hiiragizawa roaming downtown as well. His surprise was quickly replaced with a sense of wariness and dread. He didn't want to feel that way, especially when the previous summer was spent keeping contact through letters, but it was a completely different thing when he was actually back in the very city that he once wreaked havoc on. He couldn't help but feel the mistrust creep on him as his path inevitably crossed Hiiragizawa's as they were both walking the opposite direction. Eriol himself appeared to be unaware of Syaoran's oncoming presence, and if he wanted to, he could easily walk past the magician without him even noticing. He wouldn't even have to talk to him!

"Hiiragizawa." He blurted out, and he regretted it immediately as he resisted the desire to smack himself upside the head. What happened to passing by without him noticing?!

How about Kaho-sensei?[/i] rambled the auburn-haired lass enthusiastically, her genki personality almost overwhelming as she bombarded the magician with a barrage of questions before blinking moments later, snapping out of her excited stupor as she smiled warmly at his inquires as well, waving her hands before her, ensuring Eriol-kun that everything was fine and that there was no harm done. 


[i]”Mou, daijoubu da yo, Eriol-kun. Arigatou~! Hoe? Eto..you really shouldn’t blame yourself. I wasn’t the one watching where I was heading,”[/i] she reassured, smile still in place as she nodded, looking around distractedly for her grocery list that was accidentally dropped in the process. But before she could even search for said list, almost reading her mind, the slate-blue haired magician handed her back the missing list, an equally warm smile adorning his features as she gave him another warm smile, thanking him for returning it before accepting it graciously and nodding in reply to his question. [i]”Hai, I thought I would get some groceries done for Otou-sama before I start school tomorrow. I know I probably wouldn’t get a chance to do that when I get home with Kami-sama-only-knows how many assignments. And I know that I probably have much to catch up on as well..it has been really hectic for me and for Kero-chan, even while we were away at my grandfather’s,”[/i] she drawled out with a sigh, hoping that things would get back to normal once she returns to school tomorrow. She couldn’t wait until she saw all her friends once again! But at the moment, what really surprised her, two days in a row nonetheless, was her coincidental encounters not only with Syaoran-kun a day prior, but Eriol-kun today also.

Quietly minding her own business as she made her way down the usual path from her house, grocery list in hand, Sakura smiled gently to herself, happy to be back home. Despite the fact that she actually needed to get away for awhile, the Clow Card Mistress always missed her home and her friends. While being away visiting her grandfather, the trip to and from there was quite a hectic one, not to mention her visit to grandfather’s himself. Almost every day was something new, which only served to make Sakura and Kero’s head spin right off, not that he knew that Kero was with her, whom she always kept within the confines of her backpack no matter where they decided to go. It gave her absolutely no time nor the chance to actually phone home and speak with her friends and see how they were doing. Frowning at the thought, the auburn-haired girl sighed gently, feeling bad about the situation. Not only did she feel as though she was letting everyone down that way, it made her upset at herself.
Shaking her head lightly of her thoughts, Sakura let out another sigh. Perhaps when she attends school tomorrow, she can catch up on everyone and find out how things went while she was away. Nodding to herself at that notion, the girl finally let a warm smile tug at her rosy lips as she continued along the pavement happily with each step.
Clutching lightly at her purse, Sakura gently adjusted it back onto her shoulder, feeling that it slid down a bit as she took out the grocery list, looking it over to see what her Otou-sama wrote. ”Sou desu ka…the usual then? Hai! It should be a piece of cake—hoee?” Without looking where she was even headed, a bit too distracted with the list, Sakura failed to notice an all-too-familiar slate-blue bespectacled mage standing in front of her path as she accidentally bumped into him, dropping the list. ”S-Sumimasen ka ne! G-Gomen! I was so busy looking at my grocery list and I didn’t pay attention a-and I…m-matte…Eriol-kun? Is it really you?”

-Tomoyo nodded and listened carefully about the topic of his guardians and then reincarnation. Asking her what her view on it gave the girl a moment to think before speaking.-
Hm.. What I believe is before the person passes on.. they have a wish.. the wish could be anything to be an animal or live on in another life prior to the one they had. In your case . . . perhaps Clow-san had wished for his life to continue but in another persons life. Also the wish could have been that he didn't want you to suddenly remember such things too soon. However If I was to have a past life then that person would have not wished for me to remember as I don't recall anything. The only thing I am good at in such cases is observation.
-Smiling towards Eriol, she continued to his next question.-
..I don't think my life would have been as effected as I cannot say.. it has not happened to me so I am not sure how I would handle it as it may change the person I am and how I view things. If that's the case then I rather not remember because I am happy with my life as it is. For you, Clow-san would have wanted you to remember to fulfill his mission as he couldn't.. for some unknown reason..demo I like the person you are and how you have turned out to be, Hiiragizawa-kun.
-Displaying a happy-mature smile, Tomoyo couldn't say much more on the situation because there are thing even she could not yet understand.-
It's okay, Hiiragizawa-kun. Questions you may seek.. you only want to find out what others think. I don't mind at all.
-The violet haired girl kept the same expression and smiled.-

Syaoran visibly relaxed upon hearing his words, letting out a slight sigh as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Sorry." He apologized sincerely, his voice but a low mumble. "After everything that has happened, it's difficult to just let your guard down. Admittedly, it took me awhile to warm up to Kinomoto, too..."

He trailed off, looking away shyly at the mention of Sakura. It didn't matter who he was talking to, he never failed to mention her.

"A-anyway. I'm working on it."

Just like you, Hiiragizawa-kun, It seem's I am not the only person and I am glad that you see that in me. I find it a high compliment coming from you.
-Hearing about what he had to say about Clow Reed, Tomoyo continued to speak.-
Hai.. I agree, and it seems proper that you take on Clow Reed's past life and mix it with your own. On the inside and the outside, Hiiragizawa-kun. I am sure if I remembered my past life, I would have done the same thing. What he does, what he wears and how he acts is something important and I am glad you see it that way too.
-The violet girl understood where he was coming from and felt that she could spend hours talking to him about this. However.. she moved on to the next subject.-
Well.. to be honest I don't think that Yue-san would like it very much if I took his measurements let alone dress him in something. I would have the same problem with Kero-chan as If I were going to with Spinel-san. Maybe not so much for Ruby Moon, but something traditional might work.
-The young girl already had a few ideas as one of her main hobbies was sewing and costume design. The thought about Sakura-chan crossed her mind a few times but sewing something new for someone else was another thing. Tomoyo enjoyed even making Syaoran something - from a princess to something that matched Sakura-chan. The glow in her eyes became slightly brighter as she thought about how butterfly wings could be somewhere on the design as well as the usual wing design for Sakura-chan. Quickly snapping out of her daydream, she continued to speak again.-
Oh my . . . how on earth can Spinel-san not like sweet food? It seems strange that Kero-chan and Spinel-san are completely different yet they both look super kawaii! Demo . . . it is the same with Yue-san and Ruby Moon too . . .
-Tomoyo couldn't quite figure it out but pondered on it, knowing how quick Tomoyo would be to catch on to such things was only a limited amount of time anyways.
I figured Clow Reed likes the Sun a lot - but that is only through my own observation . . . also from what Kero-chan told us, he also likes to cause trouble too. Kero-chan said 'He is a troublesome guy.' in those words, so I figured that is what he means although he says it with such annoyance I just had to film it!
-Displaying a calm yet amused look, Tomoyo enjoyed capturing the expressions of her friends when they say certain things. It was always something to have a good laugh at and look back on. Tomoyo awaited Eriol's reply while still looking slightly amused that she had everything on film at home.-

-Tomoyo nodded and put her finger to her chin again and glanced away for a moment to think then looked back at Eriol and replied to him about her capturing him on film while lifting her finger off her chin a little bit.-
Hm.. I don't think I would have told Sakura-chan if I had caught you on film. My camera would be able to pick up faces like it did when I first filmed Sakura flying with Kero-chan. Demo . . . I don't think what you wore was strange at all . . It looks very millennium. I have not met Clow Reed before or seen him but I am guessing it is similar. Same with Ruby Moon and Spinel Sun, I wouldn't mind using the design and trying something out with Yue-san and Kero-chan too.
-Having all these bright ideas to even get Yue to wear something somehow made the situation silly and funny at the same time. Tomoyo paused for a moment and pondered on what kind of designs she could use - however nothing seemed strange to her, during the fight card there were newspapers on the 'strange girl wearing a strange costume' and Tomoyo had spoke her opinion she said that she didn't think it was strange at all and it seemed normal and even liked the idea of going public and walking around in clothes that didn't... look quite right. Tomoyo has a strange sense of clothing designs and even thinks its kawaii to put Kero-chan in something as well to look the part. Pulling her finger away from her chin completely and switching the subject as much as she didn't want to as she enjoyed talking about 'strange' clothing. The violet haired girl continued to speak in return to what her friend was saying.-
Hai . . . Kero-chan seems bothered by Yue-san demo I don't think he likes Yue being favoured by Sakura-chan considering that Yukito is apart of Yue-san. I try and sort the issue by baking him cakes and making him feel just as special as Yue-san. I wouldn't mind baking for Spinel Sun either demo . . . he went strange last time. . . .
-Tomoyo seemed slightly puzzled to why Spinel Sun hates sweet food but still liked the idea of doing something nice to him too. However that was another thing she yet again pondered on. Once again she switched subjects.-
I would not have spoken to Sakura-chan if I knew about anything . . . it is not my place too. However I would voice my opinion to the situation regardless if I had magic or not. It was rather confusing when things happened around me yet I had no idea what was going on. However I played my role as much as I could too. Oh my . . I do agree that Sakura-chan took awhile demo you pushed her to change the cards when it was needed. I would have done the same too..
-Puzzled on something else, she spoke.- If Sakura-chan was to use the return card, would it work with someone that has non-magical abilities to follow? I am guessing it would considering the create card was used . . .
-Tomoyo had not stated anything until now that she knew about this, but brought up another good point about the use of the Star Cards.-

-Listening to her friend speak, Tomoyo gave a straight out answer followed by a smile.-
No, I had no idea.
And even if I did I would not have felt in danger even if I didn't know. Because Sakura-chan always made sure I was safe. However stating that if I would be in danger and scared . . . I wouldn't be regardless of the outcome. There are two things to this, if I knew . . I would know you would have made sure I was safe, Hiiragizawa-kun because you are not like that to hurt someone and that you watch over Sakura-chan with a gentle expression.
..Sure that you put Sakura-chan in danger demo how else would she have captured the cards?
And the other thing is if I didn't know then the outcome of this is exactly how it was supposed to go as is has. However there is more to one story . .
What one of your guardians said made a point that if she knew, then it would have been harder for her to do what she had to do. Am I right?
-Tomoyo paused for a moment then began speaking again after taking a deep silent breath but still remaining a faint smile.-
If I had any magic I am sure you would have been caught on film . . . demo . . . I was not sure exactly what I was looking for in saying that, and I am sure you would have kept out of my sight to make sure I was not filming anything else. Then again, if I look back now who knows if you ARE on film now that I think about it, it would have made things more questionable considering most of the events happened at night time.
-Putting her finger up to her chin, Tomoyo didn't look phased as she spoke her next sentence to Eriol but more so looked puzzled by something.-
Me and Sakura-chan are related as my mother and her mother are . . . so that also brings me to wonder if I have some sort of magical ability, that is another possibility I am able to see Clow Cards a few seconds before Sakura-chan. Demo . . . when she was changing the cards into Sakura-chan cards . . . .
-Giving Eriol a smile, leaving him with something that could possibly make even him think. Tomoyo continued to speak after a few seconds of stopping.-
Hai! I will do my best to help you too, Hiiragizawa-kun. By the way . . . how are your guardians doing?
-Tomoyo said giving him a slightly curious gaze with a smile awaiting his reply to her.-

Hai, I do think knowing about you sooner in Sakura-chan's case would have made things a bit harder for her. Demo.. I had a feeling that you had something to do with it..
-Tomoyo gave him a serious expression for a moment.- It was strange how it all began . . . the way Sakura-chan explained her dreams was very coincidental indeed. In saying this . . . how Kero-chan showed up, Li-kun, Mizuki-sensei and Yue-san all showed up the day before she met them. When you transferred . . . she also saw a dream, demo it went on for awhile. This raised my suspicions a little bit but I never spoke of such a thing because it was best not too, specially for Sakura-chan.
Demo, if I had such a strange dream I would not dwell on it as much as Sakura-chan did. Although the odd thing happened to me.. such as loosing my voice, not able to open a special box me and my mother own, walking into another room then it changes, falling asleep suddenly and being chased by a runaway piano.
-Resuming her usual happy smile, she paused as she had changed expression's once again then continued to speak a little bit more lightly.-
Demo.. I was not scared, it was more fun for me, and I was able to have the pleasure of having most of it on film! I trust Sakura-chan and I believed she will be okay. ^-^

-Tomoyo nodded as if she knew what he mean't. And by Eriol saying his last words made the violet-haired girl think for a moment while she put her camera down having a more serious look on her face putting her index finger to her chin as if she was thinking. Pausing for a moment then continuing to speak again.-
Hai . . . that maybe true. If she was to have a past life then maybe she would have encountered Clow Reed at an earlier point in time . . . demo . . . in saying that you would have also retained the memories of that at some stage. Am I correct?
-Answering his earlier question as she took her finger off her chin and rested it by her side.-
Hai, Sakura-chan is doing well . . she still has her usual troubles, demo that is Sakura-chan for you, that is what makes her Sakura-chan, ne? A lot of people like her the way she is. I do my best to help her and going back to the past for a moment . . . I helped her find the Clow Cards and did my best to make sure she came back safely. That is one reason why I made her so many costumes is because she always returned safely with a smile on her face.
-Tomoyo gave her usual happy expression in confidence to Eriol.-
