Heather was only 17 when one fateful evening, the impossible would happen, in just a few hours, her whole life as she knows it was turned upside down, as she arrived home after a hellish journey, she found her beloved father, Harry Mason, dead in his chair. A trail of blood lead her to the killer, Claudia Wolf's pet, the missionary, it was here that she slew her father's murderer, then with unlikely aid of Douglas Cartland, navigated to Silent Hill. In Silent Hill, Heather made her way to Brookhaven Hospital in South Vale at the advice of Vincent. When she made it there, Heather killed Leonard Wolf, Claudia Wolf's deranged father, also involved in the cult practices of Silent Hill. As she made her way back, Vincent told her that Douglas had gone to the Amusement Park, and he instructed her to go there. Heather went all the from the Southern end of the lake, to the other side of the lake called Paleville, it was here that her fate came back to haunt her, the "God" within her was awakening due to the hatred she began to harbor for Claudia Wolf, it was only a matter of time before all hell could be unleashed upon mankind. "No this, no that, no nothing, a paradise for castrated sheep maybe."
This series of events lead her to face her forgotten self, her former life before becoming Cheryl again, Alessa Gillespie. Heather fought herself, and defeated Alessa, who was surely dumbfounded by Heather's will to keep on living. It was here that her destiny would be truly decided for her, was she going to continue on with her life? Or was her hate going to consume her into oblivion? As she made her way, and descended into the church, she found her way to an all-too-familiar room, the room that she had in her other life as Alessa. Her father had written something in it, she then descended deeper into the abyss, into the heart of the cult church, to encounter Vincent, and Claudia. This would be their last encounter with each other, Claudia struck Vincent and killed him, he was foolish for trying to get the Seal of Metraton from Leonard, it was useless, it was now just Claudia and Heather, despite the perception of Heather closing in on Claudia, Claudia responded as if she was the one closing in. "Nowhere left to run Alessa."
The "God" within Heather was finally changing her, Heather's body began to feel the most pain that she had felt in her entire lifetime, it would be like giving birth to 8,000 children at one time, for several moments, all had seem lost, Claudia seemed thrilled that her "God" was being born, but then the impossible happened, Heather used her willpower to fight it. With every ounce of strength she had left, Heather opened her locket and now knew why her father gave it to her, to protect her from that fate, Heather swallowed the Aglaophotis, then proceeded to vomit up, and abort the "God." Claudia then took the disgusting fetus off of the ground before Heather had a chance to smash it, then swallowed it whole, thus killing herself in the process. Heather jumped into the hole as Valtiel snatched Claudia's corpse from above, then Heather slew the "God." All would return to normal again as she left the Amusement Park with Douglas.
