Hey hey! My name is Julia! I am 18 years old, I live in Minnesota and I love art! Well, some art. I like art Deco and art Nouveau, I like pin-up girls and mod style. I love the makeup from the 60s. I love the fashion from the 1870s-1970s (the Victorian era, Edwardian, WWI, flappers, Depression, WW2, vintage, retro...)I like anime, my favorites being Azumanga Daioh, Baccano and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. I love manga, favorite is Yotsuba&!.
I love satire, that's why my favorite book is Catch 22 by Joseph Heller.
I love the show M*A*S*H (it's also a satire), Alan Alda is a dream. Corporal Klinger (Jamie Farr) is my favorite character.
I would like to have a pet miniature pig. I would name him Laurence after Sir Laurence Olivier (his nickname would be Laurie after Hugh Laurie.)
I love the 1995 Pride & Prejudice movie, Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy and Jennifer Ehle as Elizabeth Bennet.
I like a lot of the Jane Austen books and do enjoy many of the films.
I like British shows (and some movies.) Britain just seems to have a better sense of humor than the US. Their sex jokes have class while still being naughty. (The Vicar of Dibley has some great innuendos.)
Also British, the wonderful Monty Python. Love Flying Circus and the Holy Grail.
Well, that's a good bit of info about me. Probably more than you care to know but I was on a roll and whatnot.
