My name, as far as any of you know, is Shirai Dae Edhel. Shirai was a random name I decided on when I first joined, (I used to be Shirai the Assassin) and Dae Edhel was a quick and uncreative name decision in J.R.R Tolkien's elven tongue, meaning Shadow Elf (Or, literally, I think, Elf of Shadow.)
I've been on and off of Gaia since 2005 and donating almost every month since the Mythril Armor was released, although I missed a few recently due to a money shortage. I've spent most of my time here roleplaying, entering contests and giveaways, stalking the GD, and screwing around in the Chatterbox. I've made some of my best friends here, including FyreMermaid, Lolita Roze, Relinquished Archangel, and if I continue I might as well list half of my friendslist. I also met my amazing girlfriend through a roleplay here, one of her own creation, Kira Lee Edhel. We've been together nearly three and a half years, with only a few breakups, the longest of which lasted about five months. We are happily together again since about a month ago, and I love her as much as I ever have, if not more.
I love to read, and my favorite genre is fantasy and science fiction. Mermy (FyreMermaid) says I'm obsessed with the Dragonlance books by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, and I'd probably have to agree. Who wouldn't love Raistlin's tragic story, or the epic wars throughout the history of that world? There are better and worse stories, but theirs are some of my favorites. I also love Marvel, although I only started to really get into the comics and stuff recently, since I never had the time or means of acquiring them before. Thank you, Interwebz.
If I keep going on, I can assume mostly anyone who comes in here is going to scream "WALL O' TEXT" and set my profile on fire for creating such an abomination, so I'll shut myself up now.
