The new age began the day that Aizen fell from power. With his defeat came the end of the Espada, drawing the final curtain over the hollow invasion. As things returned to normal, relations between the races strengthened and created a stable union. The Shinigami trained to recover their military strength and restored the Central 46. The Quincy line began a slow but steady recovery. Vizards were now allies of the Shinigami, but remained on Earth in order to protect it. The Arrancar who were born under Aizen's reign vanished without a trace, leaving the Hollow army to rebuild from the beginning. The worlds were peaceful, but the aftermath had placed everyone at the beginning again. Spiritually-aware humans began to grow stronger as more of their kind awakened to their gift.
It was three years after the Shinigami-Arrancar War that another phenomenon occured. In the human world a garganta appeared in the sky, spilling forth hundreds of gillian into human world. The Gotei 13, Vizards, and heroes of Earth assembled to combat the mass invasion. It was then that another figure appeared. A lean man dressed as an Espada stood admist the forest of hollows. The truth behind this man was a terrifying threat.
The man, Kira Cross, was the very first arrancar created by Aizen. This fact had been hidden throughout Aizen's reign. Originally he was created as the Cero Espada, but his power far surpassed even Aizen and posed a great threat to him. To protect himself and Hueco Mundo from complete destruction, Aizen created an ultimate Caja Negacion to seal Kira. This seal held for three years after Aizen's defeat, but with Aizen erased, the seal weakened and the perfect arrancar escaped.
To stop the threat, the Gotei 13 attacked with their full force, but in the end, only the captain-commander stood among his fallen comrades. Even the Vizard fell one by one. Even the hero of Earth, Ichigo, fell before this man's blade. Yet, though this man held the greatest power, enough to destroy the human world and Soul Society, he wished for only one thing. To battle against a foe whose strength rivaled his own. He entered Soul Society with the captain-commander's head and said only this before leaving, "I will give Soul Society ten years to defeat me. If a truly powerful warrior should appear and defeat me, you shall keep your lives. If no warrior is able to defeat me within ten years, I shall destroy both your world and the humans' world. This I promise you."
With his parting words, Kira Cross left and assumed his place as Lord of Hueco Mundo. Slowly he would raise his army and wait ten years for the shinigami to bring forth a powerful warrior to confront him. Now it has been 8 years. With only two years left until the complete destruction of both worlds, will you rise to defeat this powerful foe, or will you become a hollow and aid in the destruction of the worlds? The final decision is yours to make.
