That's awesome to hear! Seeing more of the world and investing in yourself with a good education are great things to do. =]
By that number that means we both joined Gaia on Sunday, September 2, 2007, or so says date calculator I found. Crazy, huh?
Well since '07 I've been doing alot of growing up myself. I finished high school (got kicked out, but still graduated), held a few jobs that I didn't like and then joined the military in 2010.
Since then I've been across America getting training on a job I love (network engineering) and general IT applications while in the military and then I have just finished a two-year stay in Japan. During my stay there I've been to the Philippines and Thailand and all around Okinawa. Now I'm back in the States about to leave again to go see even more of the world. While I don't see myself in the military for a long time I'm definitely doing a job I love and getting to see the world as a bonus.
Online I've done everything from being in the closed beta for Star Wars: the Old Republic to running my own heavily-modded Minecraft server to being in multiple role-plays on this site.
The last five years have definitely been interesting to say the least. [=
