The Princess Locked Away In Her Tower
The girl laid in the grass, gazing up at the bright blue sky, watching the cherry blossom petals scatter around in the wind. She sighed, and smiled, taking in the sweet scent of the earth around her. She loved this place. It was her home, her most cherished place to be, along with her most beloved person. Her world, the only one that she could honestly say loved her. Mother.
Mother, soft and sweet, made this living hell seem like heaven no matter what. She always made everything better. Always held her close when father yelled at them. Always held her and dried her tears with song on a stormy night. Always shooed away the monsters under the bed. Always told her stories when she was bored. Always cleaned up the cuts and scraps on her knees. Made her a beautiful kimono just right for her in size. Helped her hide away the kitten that she always wanted.
Yes. This life was wonderful. Hell could never pull her in again....
That was...until Mother died.
"Mother-? Mother-?!! MOOOOTTHHHHEEERRR-!!!???"
