I wouldn't have even cared if they had to age him up a bit to get someone who can realistically act prideful and super-intelligent.
Morbid curiosity makes me want to watch it, but I know I'll just be sad.

Tbh isn't that the underlying root of liking anything involving Amanda Palmer though?

Anyway, she and Neil Gaiman split and she announced it very publicly on her Patreon as a paid blog post, claiming that Gaiman had told the Internet first. (Which, quite frankly, is the most Amanda Palmer thing to ever happen.) Gaiman also moved back to the UK from Australia essentially leaving a country that eradicated COVID-19 to go back to the UK because quarantining with Amanda Palmer will do that to you.

... It sucks to split from your spouse and I feel for their kid, but I mean. Bruh, I'm from Boston. I've known how trash Palmer is my entire life.

That's probably about as far as I got, haha. I bought all of them on sale about two years ago, but just couldn't get into them. Probably for the reasons you mention, now that I think about it. Also, I spend so much of my life ingesting text that playing such text heavy games is kinda draining.

And YEP!! I'm glad you've been so receptive, because I feel horrible self-promoting everywhere, but... I wouldn't do it if I didn't believe in it, y'know? Because while yes, I have a very personal horse in the race, I think the greater good that my museum does is worth recognition. And I think that we could leverage that recognition to try to make even more change so that society's a bit fairer.

That really means a lot to me, both because I'm basically a shonen protagonist that cries when friends do nice things for them and because I genuinely believe in museums and especially my museum's mission. What old video games are keeping you company?

That's really kind of you to offer, thank you! It's a Webby Award, which is considered a really big Internet honor. You can vote for the National Museum of Women in the Arts here.

For some more background information: I'm the human that runs the museum's Instagram account, so it really is my work up for an award. And yes, the name of the museum is kind of misleading—we're actually a rather small and scrappy museum (about 2-3 people per department) and we definitely support all womxn artists.

To be honest, I logged back in to desperately try getting anyone I can to vote for my organization/my work to win a huge award. We're just far enough behind first place for it to seem futile, yet close enough that if I stop trying I'll never forgive myself. It's really been stressing me out (along with y'know), haha. But I fell back down the WG hole in the process, since I really do love the WG and missed seeing many WGers! After all, I wouldn't be back here if I didn't think fondly of this community to begin with. C:

I used to run some games, but only with GURPS, when I wasn't otherwise just doing freeform ones with my pals. If I ever get into them again, and I find you around, I'll definitely let you know about it.

2 years? Hahahaa, I am in no place to judge. I do wonder a lot about the ones that vanished. Some of the login dates on my friends list are old enough to boggle the mind, and I bet there are some on yours like that, too. Still, there's been just a couple I've somehow managed to spot here and there, and, damn, it is good to see them still kicking, wherever it happens to be that they are kicking.

I've been doing well. I dropped that persona habit of perpetually refusing to break character, adopted a new set of interests and styles. A lot of me is still the same, but a lot's all new. Given the time since then, I like to think that's a similar story among my friends here.
