Well I'm glad you're taking my comment well but I wasn't just expressing my view. Whether you knew it or not, intentions good or bad, it is insulting. I know if i had gotten that reply I would be ranting for days.

"It may be s**t, but at least it's on the page."! <---- This is a horrible quote and none too helpful for aspiring writers.
"s**t" whether in your head or on the page doesnt do any you any good. There is also the underlying comment that tells the person that thier story is in fact "s**t."
Which, I'm sure I don't have to tell you, is not constructive critisism.

Younger. I'm 23, too, but I'm the oldest with three younger sisters and two younger brothers. c: We had such nice weather this weekend, I had to spend at least part of it outside--spring seems to have come scary early this year. Not that I'm complaining. xD Congratulations on winning the Heroclix tournament, though you'll have to explain to me what that is exactly. ninja

They didn't even keep poor Dale around as Andrea's love interest. Maybe it just would've made for bad TV to have such an older guy with her, but it would've been far more humanizing for Andrea, who comes off as very cold, as you said.

Show Maggie in is better, more likable than Comic Maggie, I agree. I hope it stays that way. biggrin

Andrea: I find her way different in the show than in the book. In the book she didn't start off quite so rough around the edges and determined. She and her sister were more... I don't want to say "innocent" because that's a bad word to use. But she wasn't nearly as self-sufficient. And she had a more positive outlook, at least at first. She evolved into someone far more determined over time. In the show she pretty much started out the way she ends up. Andrea's my second favorite character.

Lori: Even if she would've survived longer in the books, she wasn't going to make it in the long term without constant protection. She wasn't as strong, emotionally and mentally, as others in the group. Her entire well-being depended on the stability, support and safety provided by her husband. And with Rick's moral compass spinning circles and his composure fracturing, she wouldn't last too long.

Michonne: She's my favorite. She, like Rick, knows what the hard decisions are and will make them if it means she'll survive. When others were skeptical about joining the community, she basically said she's going whether the rest of the group followed or not. She knows she's ultimately the master of her own fate, and she shouldn't rely on anyone else to protect her because the odds are that when push comes to shove, she'll have to defend herself.

Sophia: TV show, she's dead. Book? She's useless. Just someone else Carl's age to talk to. If and when he wants to talk to her.

Maggie: In the book, plays mother to Sophia and provides something of a stable "family" life for Glen, which is something he needs. He risks his life possibly more than anyone else in the group, so he really needs a motivational push for his actions. Maggie and Sophia keep him sane and happy. In the TV show, it's too soon to tell yet. She might change my mind.

Carol: Dead early on in the books. In the show, I don't see her surviving very long. She's pretty shattered by Sophia's death, and if not for Daryl who has taken special measures to ensure her safety, she would've been dead a long time ago. She doesn't have the best fighting instincts, she isn't in prime physical shape, she can't defend herself... she's pretty much a heartbeat away from being zombie food.

It was good, though nothing too exciting. I took two of my sisters on a picnic--and by "picnic," I mean I bought them snacks and soda and we sat out in the grass. xD It was fun. c: How about you?

Hello. c: Thank you for the friend request. I believe I tipped your post in which you told JD (in your thread about Shane being a rapist) that everyone should have the right to post--including him, despite his attempts to justify rape. It's nice that someone is taking on these obnoxious kids and telling them what's what. Like the fact that if you try to rape someone, you're just as bad as the person who actually managed to carry the action through. The intent was still there.

Possibly. I usually don't go for opening weekends. And this one is going to be crowded as ********. I prefer to sneak in on like, a wednesday afternoon or something when there aren't tons of assholes making loud comments about bullshit.
