I use a wacom intuos touch o 7 o / yum_pizza IM GOING TO TRY AND GIVE YOU AN INFORMATIVE ANSWER: my brushes have low hard <--> soft settings, which makes the edges harder, if i use one with a high hard <--> soft setting it will come out fuzzy of muddy which can make it difficult to colour. But things like that can be fixed is PS or GIMP with a sharpen or contrast effect.

Try to make the lines the same width though the entire image and that will help the colours to stand out more
