Glad to hear that your mom is better! My mom and grandmother both caught some flu-like virus over the break, but they're doing better now.

D'aww. It's too bad you live so far away, or I'd teach you! I love making delicious things. I made M&M cookies tonight.
(It does make it hard to watch my weight, though! xd )

And what, you buy pie? Store-bought pie usually isn't great. You should make pies instead. heart Or maybe that's just me, since I love baking lol.

Still more ambitious than me lol!
I avoid going outside when possible, particularly during the snowy season. I've never really liked the outdoors, or sports activities >.<

The potluck sounds nice! What are you going to bring? I think my mom is planning for us to make candies today.

Being toned would be nice, but... too much work. I really don't enjoy exercising just for the sake of it. Wow, you ski and snowboard too? You sound really active!

I suppose most people are busy with Christmas stuff now though. Today I went shopping all day with my mom, and we wrapped some presents when we finally got home. What do you do for the holidays? Do you visit anyone?

Oh, working in a power outage does sound a bit crazy!

I had a full day today. Went to town with my mom while she bought a few things, came home, took a shower, wrapped presents, went to my grandparents' house, made applesauce, popcorn balls, and cinnamon rolls, then went to the bowling alley and kept score for my mom and her friends. We just got home a little while ago! I'll sleep good tonight haha.

I just went for a week back in March 2010, as part of a class I was taking at the time.

Oh yeah, Tokyo was nice! It seemed very clean to me too, compared to the big cities here in the US.
Then again, I just loved the whole experience of being there. Best week of my life heart

Oh, well hey, at least you made some money, right? ^_^

Where in NY did you go? The city? I'm from a tiny area in upstate NY. Also not my cup of tea, but visiting is okay. I'm one of those people that doesn't like areas that are too rural, because there's nothing here, but doesn't like big cities either because they're too populated. I like medium-sized places where there's stuff to do but you don't have to live in the middle of it all.
