A little less and we could have said a year and a day... But that might have been too Shakespearean for this day and age.

Plus, we'd be tempted to write in iambic pentameter, which would have gotten awkward and frustrating fairly quickly, so good thing we dodged that bullet by making it a year and a couple months.

Having said all though, however, it's great to hear from you after all this time. I hope that work and life and everything in-between has been going well for you.

I've been doing pretty well, thanks. Much like yourself, I haven't been on Gaia nearly as much as I used to be. Try to stop by a couple times a week to do a quick catch up, but the recent holidays have delayed my logins.

Unfortunately, the rest of it has been playing catch-up today (and probably tomorrow).

Yesterday, I was driving in to work at 5AM to handle an emergency situation. Due to the severe storms we've been having in our area, I ended up hitting a patch of street that was flooded and thus killed my car engine. Pushed the car out of the foot or so of water and about ¼mile down the dark street. Called roadside assistance, and it took them over 15 hours to get a tow truck to help. Of course, by that time, all the service stations were closed, and I am without a car...

It's one of those moments when I debate whether I should have even tried to do the good thing. For, if I just stayed in bed, I wouldn't have lost both my car and 15 hours of my like. xp
