Nah, not necessarily.
He held the aggressive position most of the time but when did he ever really go to finish it? When did he land some really good punches?
Plus the whole, "gotta beat the champ to be the champ"; he clearly didn't make his superiority known. Lol
On the contrary, I think both didn't do as well as they could have and a rematch would be ideal ^^

What'd ya think of the most recent card Penn vs. Sanchez?!! (My #1 thought is, I've never seen a dude get doughed so many times in the face and still have the ability to stand and defend xD) But yeah. He got trounced.

LOL, it's 5 AM and I'm a bit inebriated but I'll try to make a logical response .-.
I don't think Gina stood a chance and at least one of the times she got mount was only because Cyborg ******** up her takedown
I think Carano is a decent/good fighter, but not the amazing icon media has made her-- girl is BEAUTIFUL, but it also sets her at a disadvantage because people focus on that rather than her skill, which can be good and bad. Btw, did you see the difference in intro's for Cyborg? I thought that was kinda funny.. hehe

And for Miguel, I think it will do him some good and really test his fighter mentality-- people can have talent and get cocky but where true talent separates is when those who are conceited fall but still get right back on their feet and want more

Hmm, could go either way. It all depends on the viewers really (and somewhat unfortunately); if they want to see him fight in the spotlight right away, Dana just might go for it. Think about it, Lesnar got a shot after only a couple fights, right? One thing is that regardless of Fedor's good rep, he surprisingly doesn't have many followers and isn't in the "mainstream" yet (so says the media at least) but he's getting there. Virtually undefeated and in his prime, it's got talent & $$$ written all over it xD

Also, I might view MMA differently than your gf but I can still appreciate her sentimentality smile It's respectable when you can tell a fighter takes his/her career in their heart rather than just fame/money greedy (like the burnt-out Iceman... lol) Me & the man get pretty into it xP Mixed Martial Arts that is of course ;p haha. He's actually in-training; broke his arm last year at a grappling tournament but he's back on his feet. I've been tempted to join him during a class-- even if I don't pursue a life in it, I'd love to train a bit just to have at least 1 fight under my belt.

WEC=amazing fights no matter what. Lol
Well, maybe not always but they're lower weight classes than UFC so... smaller dudes with 25x the energy/speed usually shows a pretty intense fight. Miguel Torres is bantem weight champ, oh yes he's crazy. smile
Hear about Fedor's upcoming fight? Barnett (opponent) got caught with a dirty urine; 'roids again. haha, and they're talking about Lesnar vs. Fedor being the ultimate fight to arrive sometime before Oct. 2010 surprised We'll see I guess..
About Emelianenko being signed w/ UFC; I think it'd be quite interesting to see how he does.
(Girlfriend likes it for... weird reasons? What does that mean? lol)

Yeah, agreed about the Lesnar part; never was routing for that one. No talent, just physically enormous and has decent agility for his size (I think I've ranted this to you before, lol)
I was kinda shocked at how much a d**k Mir was (and then got his face beaten in); I liked him before all this falling out happened :
As for GSP, they say he's gonna face Anderson and I have my money on him (not saying that in the back of my mind I'm second guessing the outcome...I'm a bit biased to Silva I guess lol)
I respect and acknowledge GSP as a very skilled fighter but I've never been a fan. Weird cult following and his snooty attitude ;p (haha, just kidding)
Did you watch the Sengoku fights last night? went on FOREVER, but still good smile
